JT
Do any German speedway fans know if Stefan Bachuber (Newport 'asset' who never rode for Newport) is still riding speedway? One more question on the 'http://www.josef-westenkirchner.de' site who is the rider identified as 'Pavlic' <pictured below>? If anyone could post any details on him I would be very grateful as his style is reminiscent of Matej Zagar and we all know that isn't a bad thing! Thanks
tomazpozrl
JT this is JURICA PAVLIC, 14 years old Croatian speedway sensation and one of the most talented speedway riders in the world at the moment. He is a son of former Yugoslavian champion Zvonko Pavlic. Jurica is already participating in many open international meetings, this weekend he will race in two days event in Gustrow (Germany) against some very prominent riders : David Norris, Scott Nicholls, Jason Lyons, Niels K Iversen, Peter Ljung, Robert Barth, Armando Castagna etc. He already took part in several meetings in Slovenia in the last few years and has also beaten the likes of Matej Zagar (you know him very well) and Jernej Kolenko (ex King's Lynn and Oxford rider). Unfortunately Jura is still too young to take part in any official international meeting (world and european championships), but he is definitely a huge prospect for the future and I reckon he'll be the first Croatian rider in the GP series !!! Guest Petzi
@JT Stefan Bachhuber has retired from Speedway. But he is still in the Pits as a Mechanic.
SCB
JT, Pinny has bene saying for the last 18 months that Tim shoudl be keeping tab in Jurica and he's right. He is already good. when someone gets him into the PL on 9 in a couple of seaosn time they should have an instand success looking at some of his results. That said, he might go straight into the EL. JT
Bl**dy hell 14!!!! At Newport his equivelent is Nick Mallet or Russel Barnet! There was me thinking Morten Risager was the best rider 16 or under, it looks like this guy could be a number 1 in the PL in his first season! Wackie
Darija, love your avatar. Don't suppose there's any chance of you recommending Reading to your little bro to start his UK career.

Not a bad idea. I can imagine Matej and Jura riding together - PL title would be Reading's for sure.
Darija
I'm sure he's going to ride english league one day. But I don't know what club:) I'd love if Matej and Jura ride together! But he must: 1. be 16 2. finish school
Wackie
We don't mind waiting a couple of years, but you should start educating him now on UK speedway and he can practice his English too. Get him to repeat over & over Reading are better than Newport.... Reading are better than Newport Edited June 1, 2004 by Wackie
