Steelers: 1. Nathan Ablitt, 2. Luke Harris, 3. Mickie Simpson, 4. TBC (guest or R/R for Vinnie Foord), 5. Luke Harrison, 6. Harrison Rogers, 7. Jamie Etherington.

Middlesbrough Tigers: 1. Tom Spencer, 2. Cooper Rushen (G), 3. Sam McGurk (G), 4. Jacob Clouting (G), 5. Danny Phillips (C), 6. Laylan Richardson, 7. Kai Ward.

Bit of a select side for Middlesbrough

Why all the changes from the declared teams. I realise Foord can not do Scunthorpe and Edinburgh same day, and Ace Pijper has some international commitments, but why the others?

Middlesbrough's Halder injured at Armadale on Saturday & think Stene Pijper will have no transport to get there (Dad off with Ace)

I presume Rushden is rushing from Belle Vue to ride for Middlesbrough after riding for Leicester in Manchester for the 12pm meeting

Won't have much time to spare. Approximately 2 hours from Manchester to Scunthorpe, time to load up after Belle Vue, and prepare at Scunthorpe. Hope the crowd are not expected to stand around waiting for him.

I didn't realise that Sam McGurk was in the same predicament he's guesting for Belle Vue at 12 then Middlesbrough in this. Seems crazy situation to me.

The Scorpions match starts at 3pm, with the Steelers after maybe a 4:30-5pm start?

Credit to the riders for being willing to take on the guest meeting, but if they were delayed I don't think the meeting should start late. That's a risk the club is willing to take.

I see the preview doesn't mention what's happening to the Vinnie Foord position, mentions he's not available but lists him in the lineup?

And I have just noticed that both teams are using rider replacement at Belle Vue which could slow the meeting.

Weather forecast not too good for Edinburgh. If it's an early call off Foord may be at Scunthorpe.

Exactly only takes a crash which is more likely in a NDL meeting or the M62 or M18 been shut due to a road accident and neither Cooper or McGurk would make it.

He's certainly not hanging about, unbeaten in his first 3 rides

Tigers failed to beat the predicated bottom two sides despite strengthening with guests, says a lot about pre season predictions.

What pre season predictions? The NDL / NDT doesn't get anywhere near the chat the top leagues do on the forum / FB etc. I couldn't say who everyone was favouring like I can for the Prem & Champ.

Since Steelers have changed their side, I'd rate them odds on favourites for the title. Since Belle Vue's changes, I'd rate them favourites for the wooden spoon.

I may not have said that a week ago.

Mind you with Foord missing & Rushen guesting, Middlesbrough should've been capable of the win.
