The Berwick side of the pits is going to be a real barrel of laughs with Stewart Dickson, Craig Cook and Sam Hagon in it... throw in Drew Kemp when he gets his inevitable binning later in the season and they're going to need another team building day on the go karts 😉😂

Well done Glasgow, credit where credit is due they performed like a well oiled machine from start to finish. Harris, Howarth and Thompson looked good as expected but the star of the show was Max Perry, he deserves all the plaudits he is bound to receive after that.

From a Berwick perspective it was just one of those nights, Mr Kildemand was extremely unlucky with bike issues. Messrs Kemp and Cook should take a bow, superb as expected. A hat tip to
Dayle Wood for winning his debut heat as a Bandit, certainly lots of promise across the board.

As a Berwick fans it still is hard to see Leon in a Glasgow racesuit, please Cami can we have him back?

All in all a fantastic season opener, you’ve done it again promotion team, five stars all around.

I thought this match could have gone either way before it started, I wasn't confident of a Glasgow win, however the boys dug deep and Ashton and Leon still not firing but was an improvement from last weekend. Our top 3 is fab, very strong 1 and 5 and could beat most other 1 and 5's. Take a bow Max Perry, he was sensational, fought for every point and deserved man of the match. The bandits were unlucky a few times and will do better once dialled in. Drew Kemp has improved immensely and I wasn't upset that my favourite rider won heat 15, Cookie is still my fave and I hope he has a great season. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable meeting.

I’ll trade you, Cook for Howarth?

Tough opener for Berwick against a team that’s had plenty of track time.

You could see some of the Bandits side were rusty. Cook has had little or no competitive laps. Kildermand just back from injury, but looked sharp. Looked like he may have re injured himself in his last heat.
Borke clearly suffering from his previous injury and looking very uncomfortable all night.

Hagon looks low on confidence, a shadow of the rider who scored double points with Poole at Berwick last year.

Dale Wood can gate, but he looks a bit wobbly. Hopefully he gets used to the track soon. An upgrade on Hodder.
Bandits star man was Drew Kemp who looked like he’d max if it wasn’t for a shed chain.
Lots of bad luck for the Bandits, otherwise may have sneaked a win.

Good to see Craig Cook get a couple of morale boosting wins.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening at Shielfield Park. As always, to be honest. I really enjoy Berwick.

Drew Kemp was the star of the show, but our consistency saw us home.

After all the arguably justified concern around Hodder and Perry, it was great to see them score 11 paid 14 between them. Outstanding.

It was also great to see Craig Cook back in amongst the points. Although I’m not sure I’d be saying that, had Berwick won. I hope the reception he got from both Berwick and Glasgow fans really registered with him because the version of British Speedway where Craig Cook is riding well is the best version of the sport.
