Track wasn't perfect tonight, very bumpy for the first few heats, then quite slick so gating was important. Definetly wasn't the best meeting for Leon but he was always close to the rider ahead was just a bit tougher to pass than normal tonight. Boughen showed what he can do in heat 8 he'll definetly improve. Reserves I think will improve, they didn't look bad just lacking some outright pace. Polis, Sedgmen and Palovaara were very strong and made it very difficult to get a heat advantage anywhere, Grahn also seemed to find something in his last ride to get an important 1-5.

It’s early season but Flint is mainly a gater not a passer.certainly a wake up call for Tigers.

As I've previously said on another thread, Glasgows top 5 need to score 8/9 points each with a couple of reserve points to win, 2 riders way off this score and ends in defeat at home, could be a long season for the tiggers, Only downside my team face the monarchs in the cup next week, which before last nite I thought no problem, now ? Help !!

We got beat at home in a glorified friendly we won away in another glorified friendly.

We have ridden two meetings but on here we are now in no particular order.

Not a good team

Weak

Not a top 3 Team

Poor

And that is not including the personal slaughtering of a young rider.

This place is Bipolar.

Great to see Ashfield so busy tonight!

Hope I'm the only numpty that got stuck in the loop-de-loops of Glasgow with a chunk of M8 westbound being shut. An hour and a half for a 10 mile journey 🫣.

2 hours it took me to get back to Paisley they also closed a chunk of the 77  absolute shambles.

Out of interest did you see anyone actually working because I certainly didn’t.

great resulf for the monarchs last night. . Glasgows team has been put in the shade by a team  that was  given no chance by tigers fans !

what happened to the 61..29 forecast ?

It was tongue in cheek or did that not register.

And yes I  know that your comment is tongue in cheek.

There is no doubt you have a good team, whether it is good enough or will need some adjustment time will tell but if I would say you need one good reserve, so maybe it would have to be a double change but to want change after two meetings is crazy, let the team settle and riders will improve. If you have riders still struggling after a few matches then maybe do it then. The other thing to consider is Edinburgh maybe better than some think.

Edinburgh have knack of picking up decent riders that have not ridden in GB.Nothing is won on paper.

Spot on, It is way too early in the season to write anyone off but for some losing at home too a very good team performance by Edinburgh now means we are also rans.

Lets not forget we actually won on aggregate over two legs,

As Neila says about Glasgows top 5, it was pretty much the same for Redcar last night. 1 not firing in top 5 makes it hard work. Redcar got home by the skin of their teeth but shows that a strong top 5 can’t have a rider not performing

Yeah but Redcar had Gilkes guesting for Riss so you can't really judge them on that result.

Well done Edinburgh, I didn't see that coming although I don't think this Glasgow team is as good as some make out. Boughen in the main body of the team would be a worry for me if they were my team. Early days though.

Isn’t boughen the youngest rider in that league? And the youngest by 3+ years in the premiership. Scored 10 points in the top league in his first two meetings this year and then an unfortunate crash in his 3rd meeting while on a 5-1 with bomber. I agree he’s struggled since the crash but surely we shouldn’t be criticising just yet? I am a kings lynn fan but following his journey up with you guys. Some of his performances last season was the best I have ever seen in 40+ years of watching and following speedway. He’s 17 with 2 years experience under his belt, let’s give him time and hopefully he will do what I and most of us know he can do.

Kemp for Castagna does strengthen the Monarchs round Ashfield , plus gives Kemp track time before the real stuff starts next weekend .

Palovaara at reserve could be troublesome for us , expect him to get 7 rides . Not sure how the new Monarchs will do , will Murder Polis be murder ?

After last week's successful opening weekend for us , I hope we can build more confidence by piling on the points tomorrow night .

Spot on as usual Paulco
