I agree, although with regards to the Spires team, 3 or 4 different riders are needed to make any real difference.

Yep, I agree. Although it needs to start with another heat leader and then build other changes around that. If a Leon Madsen-type signing can be made, then the other changes can work around. Could also do a lot worse than Dan Gilkes based on how he rode for the Cheetahs the other night - surely only a matter of time before he's fitted in somehow.

Weird how so many Belle Vue fans are bothered by the Ipswich team. Seems like most fans of the other clubs appreciate some good team building, and just wish their own clubs could field a similar team.... not Belle Vue. A lot of jealousy coming from the NSS.

As an Oxford fan, last night was a pretty tough - but not unexpected - watch. A lot of work to do for the Spires, but a lot of wiggle room with points if they can find the right rider.

Belle Vue fans are weird

being so unlucky last year

Not so sure about that, Jason Doyle's season ended at the start of June and Ippo elected not to replace him meaning that when Sayfutdinov got injured they left themselves well short when they met the mighty Lions some 3 months later.

They didn’t elect “not to replace him”, they tried everything but just couldn’t get anyone in. Anyone that argues against Ipswich being unlucky last year are not being truthful. It wasn’t just the top two either, every member of the septet had periods out of the side injured and a lot of them were riding through the pain barrier at the tail end of the season. It was a mental season.

All teams have been built with total averages within a few points of each other.  The massive victories for some sides just show they've ridden better so far - they cannot be explained by the comparison of established averages so this has to be recognised.  As Phil has said, many teams will look a bit different later in the year and of course riders may just ride better (or worse) in future meetings.  I wouldn't expect another tiny score from Kurtz at Foxhall, or from Emil at Birmingham and I look forward to that because predictability makes the sport dull for me.

It’s amazing that when Ipswich needed to sign riders last season “they tried everything but just couldn’t get anyone in”, yet other teams this year “could have built a team as good as the witches but choose not to”.

The biased nonsense from the witches trolls is what winds fans up, not the excellent performance of their team.

Yet Birmingham "elected" to bring in Freddie Lindgren at the same time 🤔

... and King's Lynn, Kvech 🤔🤔

You’re generalising and taking one comment from one poster and another from a different poster and wrongly claiming that it’s all coming from the same person and they are being contradictive 🙄

You’re also (no shock there) making absolutely no sense whatsoever. It’s far easier to build a team of seven riders up to a points limit (unless you’re Oxford) than it is replacing the best rider in the league like for like mid season. You’re comparing apples with oranges. Sheffield couldn’t replace Woffinden either. It’s almost impossible to replace those guys. It certainly ISNT impossible to build a team up to a points limit though.

I should just ignore it. The majority of speedway fans surely just appreciate anybody that takes time out from their own evening to send updates for the rest of us. On behalf of them, thank you.

Support a team that were champions 2 out of the last 3 years and illiterate, or support a team that are favourites to win this year and literate. I know which I'd rather be.

“they are being contradictive”. That’s the problem, even witches fans are contradicting each other in their rush to troll this site. Maybe get your heads together and pick a lane. When you guys needed to build a competitive team but couldn’t it wasn’t your fault but when the boots on the other foot then any other team is at fault and ripe for snide comments, incredibly biased thinking.

The rules allowed you to replace your injured best rider in the league but you didn’t. The rules allowed us to replace the 2nd best rider in the league and we did. What we didn’t subsequently do was berate you for your lack of team building plans as you lot are now doing with Oxford, Birmingham etc. No class.
