Ipswich v Oxford Thursday 10th April

Ipswich 66 - 24 Oxford

Riss would've top scored for Oxford imo but without him I don't see where 2nd places are going to come from.

Emil and Doyle will be better than Monday and I’d expect the engineer room to slightly improve. Jenkins and Thompson can always add the extra points clearly so looking very positive! Personally I’d love to see Magic score double figures, he is really a good guy and comes across very well, he has come back to British speedway and I’d like to see him score some big points so he feels like he is improving and comes back to these shores constantly. We won’t batter teams 65+ often if ever again this season… I don’t think, id be hoping for 52-38 to the witches 🧙

Why wouldn't they? Ipswich are very capable of such big scores imo

Don’t get me wrong I’d love to see it every week! I just think people will have off nights, it’s hard to keep constant 5-1s, teams will get better as the season goes. We have a strong, strong team, I just think we need to keep realistic and stop thinking we are going to batter everyone, complacency can kick in when you turn up thinking no you’ve already won.

I don't quite get your point, if I as a neutral fan suggest Ipswich should score 60+ at every home match, I don't expect the riders to read my comment & say "oh we can take it easy because szkocjasid said so".

Now if the club suggested that wins are a foregone conclusion & they only have to turn up, then yes, you could warn them of complacency.

I think I fans who are expecting big wins, are being realistic tbh

Are you ok? Any sportsperson can get complacent when constantly winning and therefore think they can turn up and just win. All teams have said we are the strongest so that can bring complacency in itself, I was not referencing what you wrote at all. I haven’t even said we are complacent, I simply stated it can creep in at any point. You show your knowledge of sports by the last post about if one team beats one, and we’ve beaten the first team, then we will easily win, sport isn’t that simple
