LagutaRacingFan
Really nice to see Zagar and MJJ check in on Vuolas. Team spirit seems to be good.

Odds On
If ever a score line flattered a team, Brummies were woeful…who ever put that team together needs to give their head a wobble.

Nonsense. Birmingham's biggest problem is their track. A top 5 of Musliak, Jeppesen, MJJ, Rew and Zagar is pretty good.

Superb performance. Him and Jenkins won us that meeting no doubt about it.
TTT
Take a bow Dan Thompson and Jordan Jenkins, These two young lads are riding out of their skin by stepping up and covering for experienced riders who aren't at the races yet. Danny King almost single handedly cost Ipswich the meeting with a braindead choice of gates, What on earth was he thinking by putting the Witches on the back foot from the get go by choosing 2 & 4 which then gave Birmingham inside gates towards the end of the meeting as well. I am sure Danny consulted with his Team mates regarding choice of gates.
GeneralMelchett
Much closer than it should have been but there you go - well done to the Witches reserves definitely won them the match!

They all did the track walk and studied each gate so it would have been discussed which they’d go for if they won the toss. They collectively got it wrong though.

Belle Vue 10 between their top two at Foxhall and got absolutely battered. There’s strength all the way through this team which means the top two can have off nights like tonight and we’ll still be in the mix. Actually Brennan had an off night as well so the whole top three underperformed. The track had a lot to do with that really it was never suiting Emil in particular. I didn’t watch it but I was keeping an eye on both matches on the updates - yes strength in depth for sure. Pleased for both Dan and Jordan - it’s good for them to get to be the stars being the points home!
Steve Irving
Thompson seems to be following the same career path as Tom Brennan. He’s got a few years on Brennan but he’s clearly heading in the same upward direction. Leicester must be watching his progress with massive regret. That’s one monumental bollock dropped by them. He’s also quickly moved to heatleader status in the Championship as well. Fair play to Glasgow for snapping him up, but Poole must be another kicking themselves. He seems tailor made for Poole so a missed opportunity there for them.
*JJ
Birmingham made the Witches look rather ordinary, except for Dan Thompson, who is getting rather good!

And yet they still beat you on your own track. Despite Birmingham pulling 8 points back the result was never in doubt from the moment the tapes rose in heat one. The track was undoubtedly a “leveller” it was absolutely horrid.

bigcatdiary
2 hours ago, Racin Jason 72 said: Looks like they started watering the track at 6pm instead of 6am this morning. Indeed, the track was an absolute disgrace, very little if any shale just a light covering of dust which when dry after ineffective watering went home with supporters who were wearing it as they left. The racing was dreadful follow the leader crap, with the closeness of the meeting the only thing that kept it mildly interesting. It was also interesting that Staechmann kept mentioning the blue groove and said it could cause problems and shortly after Voulas tested that theory. Just how long does the SCB and the BSPL stand for this level of non existent track preparation, it’s hardly a wonder they suffer from poor crowds when they produce this type of meeting on a track devoid of any decent material.
Baldyman
Back to the transponder thing,, why didn't Birmingham dig up Wolves one and use that.
