Was going to say exactly the same. Through no fault of his own, Hume must be extremely vulnerable now. I always thought Sheffield had far too long a tail. The Holders as heatleaders and Pickering third heatleader is plenty good enough at the top end. If they make two changes then they could actually end up looking a more solid outfit as long as the right riders are available.

psycho3a
Maybe Robert Lambert or Fast Freddie might want a 28 day short term deal to get race fit prior to the GP's and other leagues starting fully..
*JJ
Do Sheffield have a stream for this meeting? Or is it on Quest?

Falcon1983
First of all best wishes to tai Feel in terms of a replacement then it would be a double change Worrall with Kerr/Allen might be worth a shout

I think that will be the plan tbh. Gives them time to find a solution. it’s horrible talking about replacing tai while he’s only just got seriously injured but for Sheffield they have to move quick really

Maybe they'll get a big hitter but I'm just guessing that they won't because Oxford surely would've snapped one up if riders were available instead of running a 1-7 that's way under the points limit.
szkocjasid
Naturally my first thoughts are for Tai Woffinden to make a full recovery. While it seems the wrong time to think about replacements the truth is Sheffield will have to do that, they are probably privately thinking about their options. They cannot ride with only 6 riders (unless they use r/r) and cannot delay the start of the season until Tai is in better shape. I'm 99% sure Sheffield will get a 28 day facility. They'll really need to make a change before 1st May as Rowe's rolling ave will then lose it's 25% reduction & the team will be over the limit. Like others I assume a double change, two second strings replacing Tai & Hume may be most likely. Very unfortunate for Danyon, but if he can score well, can put himself in the shop window in case other teams make changes later in the season. Sometimes as fans we are so used to riders making miraculous comebacks from injuries it takes it out of you when they appear more serious. Get well soon Tai.

Not sure who could come in and cover him? Lambert, Laguta, Lindgren Thorssell?

szkocjasid
Is Martin Vaculik still pals with Simon Stead? Could he be tempted to come over, even till the GPs start? As is always in the back of my mind though, get well soon Tai Edited Tuesday at 11:05 PM by szkocjasid

Brummies_Ste
SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Anders Rowe, Josh Pickering, Tai Woffinden R/R, Chris Holder, Danyon Hume, Leon Flint. BIRMINGHAM: Tobiasz Musielak, Jonas Jeppesen, Michael Jepsen Jensen, Keynan Rew, Matej Zagar, Antti Vuolas, Jason Edwards.
TTT
I hope that Sheffield can pull off a win for Tai but I think Birmingham will win due to Sheffield having not ridden a meeting this season. Tobiasz Musielak knows his way around Sheffield and I'd fancy Jason Edwards to be the highest scoring reserve on show.

Manifesto
Fancy it to be close possibly last heat decider without Tai in the team. If one of Holder brothers has a slight off night its going to be a struggle, Picko is very close mates with woffy and I have a feeling this will have an impact on him next few weeks. 46-44 home win
