Sheffield v Birmingham 3/4 Premiership R1

Recommended Posts

Weather forecast looking nice all week so no reason the track and conditions shouldn’t be top notch.

Which brum will show up to owlerton will decide how close a contest it will be. Tobi and Zagar have speed round owlerton so I’m expecting them to be at it with the Sheff heat leaders. Big night for the reserves to make a statement for me on both teams and I feel that is there the contest will be won or lost

prediction 51-39

On his average there are plenty of options.

in the mean time it will be no facility as he’s not turned a wheel sadly.

best wishes tai

You would like to think a facility would be granted in this instance.

Best wishes to Tai on a speedy recovery. Not one of my favourite riders anymore, but i don't like to see any rider get injured.I hope sincerely the injuries he has sustained aren't as bad as feared and he makes a comeback soon.

Oxford wouldn't have ended up with the 1-7 that they did if plenty of big hitters were available.

Surely the higher ups will give Sheffield a facility in the best interests of the sport.

I don't see how there's any doubt that we would be granted a facility.

Plymouth started the season without Covatti when he got injured riding in Argentina, so why wouldn't we?

With Tai out for a long time where do we go now?

We are well and truly screwed as it’s same as last year all pressure on Holder bros. We can’t replace Tai he is a huge personality in the pits and he rides every track in uk well. Only riders who come close are Lambert, Lindgren and maybe Anders Thompson? Don’t think any want to ride UK at this point in year

Will have to make a double change imo with Danyon Hume departing the side.

Can see Sheffield brining in a rider with a lower average for Thursday whose UK based and only riding Championship at moment (Worrall, Schlein if want to come out of retirement) and the other two meetings in April.  Then after new averages issued make another change and replace Hume with a 5ish pointer like Kerr, Sedgman, Castagna etc

Don't think Rory Schlein will be in the equation as he had his arm in a support at the BEN Fund meeting on BSN.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the rule was, that as Tai has not yet ridden, we can use a guest up to 75% of his average (and if correct would mean Chris Harris eligible).

King's Lynn ride tonight.

Edit, this is a Thursday meeting 🤪

Yes, but I'm pretty sure we are [rightly] in special dispensation territory here. After all if Poole had managed to make it to the tapes for the KO Cup Sheffield (and Tai) would already have ridden, just like every other team.

I would expect a 100% guest (105% at home) for 28 days.

That would make Dan Bewley the obvious choice for Thursday

I'm sure they will get a facility for a month and then be able to use a guest of up to 75% of his average after that. That's what happened at Lynn last season when Musielak got injured.
