heathen52
Next Monday sees Trophy racing return to Perry Barr when Leicester are the visitors, I was thinking of going then saw that the admission prices are £15 and £13 for concessions, personally I would have thought £12 and £10 would be about right, I realise things have got more expensive but this is a Trophy meeting and is not the same standard of racing that the NL was a few years back, I personally won't be going to any meetings at those prices for that level of Speedway. secsy1
After complaining numerous times about pricing and entertainment value, I think with what is on offer at Perry Bar at this fixture it is reasonably priced. Not only are Birmingham Bulls riding against Leicester Fox Cubs in the inaugural National Development Trophy meeting, additionally Birmingham Buffaloes are racing against Wolverhampton Wolf Cubs in the Midland Development League. 21 Heats with the future stars of British Speedway on show, what's not to like?
phillwhitewasmad
Think it's a fairly decent price for level some good riders on show .
Petecc
I'm sure some people are so tight, that they squeak when they walk.

National League is quite often more entertaining than the dull top leagues 3

Not tight mate but value for money, if you want to pay £15 to watch basically a level that is a step down from the NL then go ahead, I don't see watching a heat being won by half a lap as entertainment, nothing against the riders but price it right and a tenner imo is right. I can go and watch Wolves v West Ham on tuesday for £18-50 so £18-50 for a Premier League game, different sport I know but it puts £15 to watch mostly development riders in perspective. That's the spirit mate.. If you don't feel its value then don't go, if you want to spend some money that will be invested in the future riders then go and have a good time watching our youth devlop. (NL can't be a step down from itself ) Personally I prefer NDL to Championship. I watch Premiership to see the top stars, and NDL to see the young upcomers. I tend to skip Championship. P T Preece
But dont the same riders have meeting in both NL leagues? so how can it be a lower standard. Season ticket holder at Brummies so it costs me £10.
Lenny Lion
Shocking for the Fox Cubs . They should not have lied about David Howard being “ ill” & sacked him. I spoke to David on Thursday he is in fine health & said it is a set up because he is winning more things than the Lions. Seems to me that Jen Crossland just wants to play at being a team manager so they sacked him. 1
szkocjasid
I see William Cairns "only" scored 9+1 (5) at Birmingham today. I guess as he has been so heavily hyped that if he doesn't score a maximum you start to wonder why? Which is a bit harsh for a 15 year old. But when was the last time a 2.00 rider got announced for the following July, you even have many Belle Vue fans saying he'll replace Mulford as RS for the Aces when he's 16. Hopefully he doesn't put too much pressure on himself & maybe ignore fan expectations.

Will is also due to start riding in Poland and Sweden once he turns 16, as well as any international meetings he has. That's a big commitment for a youngster in his first full season. I wish Will well, but he needs to be carefully managed and looked after.
Petecc
Will cairns is a prospect for the future. Tonight he missed a couple of gates and got trapped in traffic. Hopefully he will take that experience of not getting things his own way and learn from it.
