Results could be written down after bend two for nearly all races, when behind Bewley looked faster but could not find a way past anyone. I prefer a track which offers something to those behind and a better test of the 'improvements' will be those races where the opposition make the start. Emil went though both your top boys and king took Tate, your riders weren’t willing to risk anything that’s all! Guess we wanted it more
Aries
I see the saltiness has started already 🙄 where are the “cocky” posts? Nobody has said we’ve won anything yet either. Last night’s humiliation of Belle Vue has clearly stung a few, and from Leicester way as well which is bizarre and disappointing. Gonna be a long old season obviously 🙄

To me, this can only mean a bad batch of methanol e.g. a bit old, which means there could be absorbed water from the atmosphere. What's the current ruling about the fuel both teams use. Is it mandated that they use a common source or do they provide their own? Obviously, if everyone uses the same fuel, it is odd that only one team is badly affected. He’s clearly just embarrassed and looking for excuses. If there was a bad batch of fuel, then Bewley wouldn’t have scarpered off in heat 6 with the fastest time of the night. That kinda brings his theory crashing down. They simply weren’t good enough. 3 hours ago, ouch said: I know teams weren’t happy about the Tom & Jordan scenarios and it’ll be interesting to see if it was all chit chat or they actually follow through. The Aces at least doing their bit. Follow through? Follow through with what??

Ipswich might have an off night on the road and lose by about 4 points but nobody is putting up 91+ points on aggregate over two legs against a fully fit Ipswich side. 3 hours ago, False dawn said: It does seem that Mark Lemon is hinting there was a "mechanical issue" that hit the whole BV team. Excuses imo, BV don't look particularly strong on paper outside of the powerhouse 1 & 5 even though they were outclassed last night. Z. Cook @ No.4 is very questionable considering he's only an engine room rider in the Championship, I'm really surprised that Belle Vue didn't sign Keynan Rew. Aries
“They obviously offered him a very good deal and his mind was made up” Seems Rew was Birmingham bound very early reading Hawkins’ comments in this weeks Speedway Star. They knew they were bringing Brennan in and had to release one of King, Ellis or Rew but according to Hawkins in the end the decision was easy because it was taken out of their hands when Rew decided he was going to Birmingham.

King passing a visiting No.6 who maybe hasn't ridden Foxhall before, on his home track, indicates very little to me. My point was about the track 'improvements' which hopefully we'll get to see. bigcatdiary
Ipswich from 1-7 are a powerful team with no weak links at all, I would be surprised if they don’t get beat occasionally on the road but other than Belle Vue or Sheffield it’s not looking likely from anyone else, at Foxhall unless they have a mare of a meeting and suffer like they did in 2024 it looks likely they will go unbeaten and a lot of the scorelines are going to be 30 point plus hammerings. They have built well taking full advantage of generous British discounts including a massive discount for ex RS Dan Thompson and it will be interesting to see the final GSA for this team this year. Foxhall is a nice viewing arena and the facilities are good but the racetrack isn’t and never has been conducive to good racing. Emil stuffed up his gate in heat 13 but then went between Kurtz and Bewley off bend two like a hot knife through butter. You could visibly see more banking on the track as soon as we got there. As speedy says, we’ll get a better idea once the Witches boys start missing the gate a bit more. Was very noticeable around bends one and two and apparently bend three even more so but couldn’t really tell from where we stood. Arch Stanton
Good opening night crowd and a good atmosphere. People were certainly enjoying themselves. All the riders seem to get on really well and it seems a very happy camp which always helps. Confidence is high all the way through the side. Belle Vue were woeful mind you. Way off it.
