Ipswich v Belle Vue 27th March KOC 2nd leg

Recommended Posts

Good to see Danny King proving the fans who abused him last season to be idiots

Riding at number two and not the pressure of last season when the morons expected him to carry the team means he only needs 6 a meeting to do his job

The team looks awesome it has to be said

For Belle Vue Kurtz was woeful wasn’t interested…. Lidsey and Zach Cook and Blodorn were miles off it

Bewley was strange as the one heat he gated was exceptional and super quick then looked lost of ideas when behind

The reserves were ok they tried to mix it and Zischke looks a good little rider and improved as the night went on

That ride from Jenkins though to keep GP superstar Bewley behind him,,, with just that one ride, you could then see his confidence grow instantly and carried it on the rest of the meeting. I'm sure he will now have a great season because of it. Also I actually think the track adjustment really will make for better racing,,, well done track team.  the last seasons after the first meeting I've already had enough,, but last night was different,, and I will be back because of it

No surprise really when the Belle Vue side was announced i thought numbers 2,4,6,and 7 would give us a long tail and if the top two have an off night something like this could happen. Its only two meetings in but that tail has to start firing and find some consitency, Kings Lynn Monday will be interesting will we bounce back? Going to be difficult Stars look a solid outfit this season.

Cynical sidenote - we ran one last place last night and it was Danny 🫣😅

before you bite I like Danny and he’ll be a great second string - awesome to see the tracks changes meant he held the inside better than I’ve ever seen him manage before last night! Also shows his hand must be nice and strong 👌

It does seem that Mark Lemon is hinting there was a "mechanical issue" that hit the whole BV team.  To me, this can only mean a bad batch of methanol e.g. a bit old, which means there could be absorbed water from the atmosphere. What's the current ruling about the fuel both teams use. Is it mandated that they use a common source or do they provide their own? Obviously, if everyone uses the same fuel, it is odd that only one team is badly affected.

Mark Lemmon just can’t handle Belle vue got battered… by IpSH!T! Brilliant night, good turn out in crowd numbers and the boys produced. Personally I don’t rate bloedorn, Z cook or Lidsey as a good enough to win you a title. Not trying to sound harsh but I think Kings Lynn are a better side than Belle vue this season and will give us more problems. I’d say top four are us, Sheffield, Lynn and maybe Belle vue? Leicester might want a say in that. If Bewley and Kurtz have off nights you aren’t winning any meetings. Also like to point out now we have upgraded the track and beaten the current champions by a battering, what are people going to use as an excuse now :D

The only mechanical issue was in their clutch hands, they were last from the tapes in most races

And that was the difference.  Results could be written down after bend two for nearly all races, when behind Bewley looked faster but could not find a way past anyone. I prefer a track which offers something to those behind and a better test of the 'improvements' will be those races where the opposition make the start.

The Ipswich boys looked so quick last night. Emil stuffed up his gate in heat 13 but then went between Kurtz and Bewley off bend two like a hot knife through butter.

You could visibly see more banking on the track as soon as we got there. As speedy says, we’ll get a better idea once the Witches boys start missing the gate a bit more.

Injurys can be a factor but the witches are going to bulldoze everyone, brennan the key signing taking the pressure off king. everyone riding in the correct position.

Always had a lot of time for Tom, he seems to ride well on pretty much every track - he is a great signing!!

Even when he’s not having his best meeting, he always seems to come up with a couple of great rides. Really nice lad too. Before the meeting last night he stopped and took time for every fan that wanted an autograph or a photo. Good lad.

You have to impressed with the Ipswich team at the start of the season.

Over the two legs all the riders are getting a decent points return.

Belle Vue must be slightly worried and you have to question are they good enough when Bewley and Kurtz have an off night, the rest of the team look very flaky.

a bit like Sheffield when Jack holder And Woofinden have a offf night  night then !!
