For Lynn to have a successful season, then they need to be prepared to drop Boughen from races when he's done no wrong. While it may seem harsh, no point in having a powerhouse reserve if he doesn't get extra rides.

So far the TM got it spot on. If the aggregate points are already won or lost before heat 14s, give Boughen his 4th ride then.

Agreed, even if Boughen does well in his first 3 rides then I’d still put the number 6 in heats 12 & 14 🤷🏻‍♂️ it just makes sense

Schroeck: “It was the Bomber (Harris) show. He wanted to make a statement, which is what we expected. When you take him away, it was pretty level between the two teams.”

That's an idea for next season. The losing team can request that the opposition's top scorer has their points taken away.

While what he's saying is technically true, it's also pointless (they could have won if they didn't have Harris), is he maybe trying to ease fans fears of their weak team / disappointing performance or is he to put this politely incredibly clueless?

If Harris is flying need to keep an eye on all the top 5, for example Harris was stronger than both Klindt & Boughen on Monday, but one of them had to have their 4th ride in heat 12.

Although it would be easy to look at the programme & suggest Harris could have replaced Klindt in heat 9, Klindt was going well at that point.

We did wonder if Bomber might come into heat 13 in Ben's place but that would have been four rides on the trot for him after the interval which I don't think would have been realistic.

Certainly something for the team manager to consider when having such a potent reserve. Maybe give Harris an extra ride early in the meeting, so if he's having 6 or 7 riders they are spread out? Although if you replace a second string after one poor ride, then they win their last two, looks a poor decision!

I guess in the situation above, could've put Boughen in for Cook, waited 2 minutes, then Harris in after Boughen is excluded. A couple minutes rest for Harris.

Oxford would do better to take Schroeck away and lose him. He was a disaster at Rye House and hasn't got any better since then.
