ouch
5 riders 20 starts 15 points Ipswich were good but against any team The Aces would have done what they do most and thats lose their first meeting at home. It was yet another poor opener but not unexpected. The biggest surprise and one if continued will see the witches take all before them was that they were racing. You don’t get that from a witches team and that has always been their downfall at the NSS. Cup wise we look forward to next years random draw 1st round clash with whoever that years favourites are, hoping we can build a big enough lead to take to the second leg away. Very entertaining meeting to start the team season with and excellent for the cameras More of the same to follow but hopefully with a different result Edited Tuesday at 11:04 AM by ouch

That isn’t doing what you “do most” is it? 2

Was his first meeting back over here after a pretty bad smash, getting through that meeting unscathed was probably his main priority. From what I've seen of him he's much the opposite (not in terms of career but racing style) but seems to get himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. He's already had some bad crashes and the majority of them were due to others knocking him off Edited Tuesday at 12:07 PM by DJC
The Cheese
That's a result that will worry the rest of the league. To go to Belle Vue and win by 10 without either Doyle or Sayfutdinov at their best is a huge statement. Pretty clear that if this side stays fit and available that they'll cruise to the title, I'd be surprised if they lose more than a handful of meetings. Fair play to their management for putting it together.
foreverblue
So pleased to see Dan Thompson going well, I would have liked him at poole this year but unfortunately we got Kerr, big mistake in my view.
AceBelle
it's nice to missed by certain fans 🤣 sorry but people do have family things to sort out before tickle/tackle fans forums 😂 on last nights meeting was dissapointing losing but Aces usually do lose thier opening meeting !! but normally end up winning the league 😉 Aces were very very poor last night i think even birmingham would have beaten us ? Doyle and sayfutinov were average not even able to get double figures against a very poor Aces team ??? by the reactions on here ipswich fans think they have won everything already 😂 must have missed the trophy being presented last night 🤣 nothing won in march long time until october i suspect if the Aces don't improve at least 2 changes before play/offs will needed onwards & upwards that's normal way Aces do things 😀 remember it's only half/time let's see what thursday brings 😉

mikebv
Each year, it seems to take the Aces until the "warmer evenings" to really get dialled in.. For the first month or so, the away teams (no matter of overall levels), always seem to be "there or thereabouts" come heat 12... Then Kurtz and Bewley usually sort out a wider winning margin.. Ipswich look like a possible team that could go unbeaten all season, if injuries allow, (and they surely must be due some luck on that front this year!).. Great team building using the GB riders discounted averages with riders (like King) riding in their "true positions" which gives them great strength in depth... Didn't go last night as had watched Emil and Doyle the week before, but will definitely attend at least one of the league meetings .. CTD26
6 hours ago, Odds On said: a decent meeting to watch, enjoyed it from start to finish...by far the best racing track in the league. Bewley and Kurtz are a dominant force, but how many times have we seen Kurtz looking like a world beater but only to disappoint as the season goes on? Brennan looked good.. Doyle and Emil, looked off of it to me. King rode well all night. Zischke looked a million dollars when gating but looked awful when at the back...hope not but he could be the modern day Todd Wiltshire!! Both teams will look at the positives from the meetings, fully expecting both of them to be there or there abouts come the business end of the season. The fact you haven’t even mentioned Lidsey 🫣 Zischke coming back off an injury that would have seen many off. He scored his average and trust me, the amount of times I seen him miss the start and still win the race last season is enough to shoot your point down. It’s the first competitive meeting of the season and you’re getting on the back of a young lad already. Lidsey was diabolical. Now he is a rider who isn’t interested if he doesn’t make a start. All teams will have highs and lows so I won’t get too excited. Kings Lynn are a dark horse IMO and I can’t wait for the derby days! I expected a bigger crowd at Belle vue watching on TV, interesting to see what Ipswich gets at home, I am aware England played so maybe some watched football instead on TV. Anyway… speedway won last night! Great races and really good passing. Good luck all teams for a great season! The football probably had little to do with it, the fact a lot of locals have paid out lot on money on GP tickets this week would have been main factor plus doubled with it being on BSN a lot of people will have saved money and stayed at home.
