Merry March! Speedway month has finally arrived. Still just over three weeks until this one, too early for a thread? Meh, who cares it’s been a long Winter!

First competitive fixture of the new season and it couldn’t have started with a better fixture IMO. Will Witches make a better fist of things here than we have in recent years? It has to happen sooner or later, the team is too good not to. A lot will depend on Doyle and how he starts the season. Thankfully, he has two or three warm up meetings before this so that should help.

Within 10 and its job done, will fancy us to finish the job at Foxhall if we can manage that.

Think Ipswich win both meetings, 48-42 away 58-32 at home

And our old friend @AceBelle laughed at both of these posts. 😁

Think that’s what you call laying down a marker..

It’s a good feeling looking at every heat and thinking at worst you can get a drawn heat. So much strength in depth in this team. Much more to come from the top two as well so it shows the strength of the team when they have off nights and still win comfortably.

Lovely to see Danny fit and happy! The two boys at reserve also very good.

Only two things can stop Ipswich from cleaning up this year.

1. Injuries and 2. Poland withdrawing Emil's starting permission.

Doyley and Emil weren't firing at all tonight and Ipswich still won by 10 which goes to show how strong they are in every department.

Best British side assembled since the old Sky Sports Elite League Days imo.

Emil started slowly last year too but he’ll get it together soon enough no danger. He was his dominant self from mid season onwards so not concerned by a slow start.

Yes, The way to get around it is by refreshing the page about 5 seconds after you click the submit reply.

It happend to me where it would take 20-30 seconds for it to work automatically so I refreshed the page once and it worked straight away so I've continued to do the same since.

Fair play to Ipswich, that was a great team performance with no weaknesses at all.

The Witches could even afford Doyle and Emil to not be on top form and still won comfortably.

Great riding from Bewley tonight and Kurtz was good early on, but the Aces need the middle order to perform much better if they're to succeed this season.

Early days, but a great big statement of intent.

Crowd not as big as expected, but I guess a lot of people have just laid out large amounts on GP tickets this week and might be saving their pennies.

Aside from the top two who were very good, Belle Vue offered very little.  Cook & Zischke must be allowed a few meetings to settle, but Lidsey, Blodorn & Mulford should have done more.  Brennan performing so well bodes well for GB, kept Kurtz at bay and good battling point in his first ride.

Yes. And if you click refresh it ends up posting duplicates.

That along with the ads is an absolute pain in the ar*e. Is it really essential to have so many adverts?

Good win for Ipswich, even more impressive when you factor in that their top 2 were both off form.

I had to download an adblocker to deal with the ads. Adblock Pro I can recommended.
