If you have a T.V then you need a license- even if you don’t use the device.
Be careful, they’ll be after you!

It needs to be capable of receiving a signal - without an aerial it's effectively just a monitor

Knowing Baldy I reckon his is one of those about 3 feet deep and weighing in the region of 300 lbs ;)

One good thing about Eurosport no longer in existence is unless we pay for TNT we will be spared endless hours of boring tennis, the dreariest pastime ever grace the world but one that Eurosport jizzes over

Virgin media. They wanted £17.99 to add it so i said I wasn’t interested in any other sport and wanted to cancel them and they have me TNT for a £1 a month until April 26

Me too! I argued about the renewal price which didn't include TNT, said I'd cancel. They added TNT, sent a new modem and got £1 off the old price.

You can own as many TV as you want without a tv licence,, you only need one if you watch live TV as it is broadcast or use BBC I player. You can watch Netflix and the like without one. As for them being after me,,I've never had one,, and I'm now in my 50s

For those that might be interested - As an ex sky subscriber I get come back to sky offers all the time - just had one via NOWTv - £19.99 per month for full sky sports for a year!

I imagine similar offers might be floating around for others!

Get this...

So, I contacted Virgin Media yesterday, to ask where Eurosport had gone (playing dumb). I was initially offered TNT for £18pm with the first 3 months free, after a bit of moaning I got 5 months free and told to call back at the end of July to renegotiate. So, half a result.

I then went to see if I could access the Discovery+ app and to my astonishment as a VM customer I can't!

So this means I should be okay for British Speedway and the SGP until July. What I probably won't be able to watch is the SGP2, SON2, SGP3 and the must see Sprint Races (😂)... unless I pay another £30.99 pm, assuming they're not going to be shown on TNT, as they weren't shown previously on Eurosport.

So if you're a VM customer it maybe better just to go for the Discovery+ app option rather than adding TNT to your VM package.

What a buggers muddle!

I spoke to 3 different virgin operatives this week and this might make me sound like a racist but I don’t care but it was like talking to a moped put put put put put put put put put put put, can’t understand them, anyway leaving virgin in July after a one way loyal relationship of 25 years and going to try EE who are offering broadband, TV and an unlimited mobile sim for half what I’m paying for virgin and I could understand the lady who spoke to me , not really bothered about TNT as I’ll watch it on a firestick anyway

I couldn't face talking to them, so did webchat instead and it was like talking to an Indian AI web bot. I tried web chat with Discovery+ asking if I could access their app with my VM login... it was even worse!

EE are providing BT broadband so you may get TNT as part of the package
