However this is only the beginning for the new club, so a series of challenges against some of the development league sides at West row would have to be the aim for 25, with entry at the next agm for 26. Would think that will need to be the case. If the dates have been agreed with the landlords all good faith would likely disappear is the steering committee back tracked. Sadly challenges are not always well supported but interest could be there. I guess it gives extra time to raise funds and build a stronger side. It’s all a bit late, existing clubs have done budgets and may not want, or can fit in, two extra fixtures. I could well see BSP freezing them out for these and perhaps other reasons. Would be a shame as another track must be good for sport. Dont give up too quickly 🙂

Petecc
The project still has many hoops to jump through. One of which is getting the 5 other clubs to find dates in their calendar for another meeting !
Marky_Mark
If the door has been left open for Mildenhall then you’d like to think that the other clubs have already been made aware and are preparing for this

They have probably all been asked if they are happy for Mildenhall to join and add another fixture by this point?

You'd think landlords would want more fixtures / more rent, though
Triple.H.
Maybe they could follow the second worst scenario and have challenge matches against available teams in both NDL and NDT. Even if they were only Home fixtures for Mildenhall as the opposition couldn't fit a meeting in. Then after a season of challenges they move into NDL/NDT in 2026 in whatever way that level of the sport pans out. Obviously the worst scenario is not running.
PotteringAround
Who even holds the promoting rights to Mildenhall? Isn't it Lee Chipchase and Greg Palmer? Because we're hearing nothing from them. The main character in all this seems to be someone with a dubious past who presumably would never get any kind of official's licence from the BSP. Really good idea, keeps the team on track, gauge crowd levels and potential for seeing how team members pull together, before entering league next year

Greg Palmer put the club up for sale last September, so you’d have to assume that he has sold it to the new consortium, although in theory the club ownership should be should be transferred to the trust of 100 pledgers that are putting their money in? With regards to a promoters license, I’m sure this would have already been discussed with the BSPL who they have been in regular dialogue with
