With the announcement of the back-to-back Grand Prix at Belle Vue, do yo think Warner Bros will be looking to extend this idea in 2026 and maximise income.

No doubt two-day events in Poland and Sweden would be well attended In those countries - if they are sensibly priced.

Yes, but if Belle Vue is successful then why not try doing the same in Poland in 2026 where you are guaranteed a decent crowd.

And it would be commercially astute to do it for the final weekend as it would increase the likelihood of the title being decided there rather than a fortnight earlier in Vojens [or similar]

as well as keeping costs down as infratructure will all be in place.

not sure how much longer WBD will carry on though

Rather than run the same meeting twice why not use the Friday night as a qualifier for the Saturday GP? Would be a good way of increasing the number of countries involved rather than dilute the field to facilitate it. Would add some jeopardy to finishing down the order in the GP as well.

Bottom 4 (or 8 ) have to qualify from the Friday night meeting at the next round. Increasing the total number of GP riders to 28 ( or 24 ) 

One bad GP and failure to qualify at the next GP and you're totally out of the points for that round and having to qualify again for the next round.

I enjoyed the double rounds during Covid but there was nothing else to do so not a good benchmark. Interestingly though I've been to a couple of gigs recently where there have been two shows in one night. One way of maximising sales at smaller (less costly to hire) venues.

I'd imagine it comes down to having to increase the total prize money if it was done at every round.

speedway has been desperately short of a"white knight " for decades the amount of time ,effort and money to boost the sport has  always been  vastly underestimated I suspect WBD have now  learnt this  !
