Wow, that's a shock.

Quite a bombshell and relatively speaking a very late decision. Normally these things are announced at least a whole season in advance.

I can't help but feel sorry for Cardiff, especially all of those good folk who have already booked up accomodation, transport etc.

Bit of a kick in the teeth really.

As a Belle Vue fan, I am, of course, very pleased a Grand Prix has been given to Belle Vue, but Cardiff has really done very well for Speedway over the years. We should be very grateful to them.

A very sad decision for me.

I didn't miss a Cardiff GP so it's a very sad day for me, they were very enjoyable weekends. To me it feels like I have lost a loved one.

I hear what you say re Cardiff but we are guaranteed top class racing (weather permitting haha) which wasn't always the case at Cardiff. Plus crowds have fallen off at Cardiff, yes there'll be fewer at BV but it'll be better telly and that's the business these people are in.

It's Manchester, said by many to be the wettest city in the UK. What will happen if BOTH get rained off? Yes, one could be staged on the Sunday (if it stopped raining by then) but when/could the other be staged?

It’s a sad day for UK speedway & a measure of how the sport is failing over here. The attendance has been poor since Covid & to be honest embarrassing when on live tv so probably the right decision.

It isn't  (Cardiff according to google).

And even if it had twice as much rain as (say) Leicester or King's Lynn I'd still rate their chances of getting a meeting on as better than almost anywhere else.

Cardiff is actually the wettest city in Britain, so it's a good job they have the roof.   Manchester is actually quite a way down the list.

Nearer for me than Cardiff and I booked a hotel for 4 days from Friday to Monday. So all fine as have 2 days of speedway to look forward to now.

WBD have done very little to promote the event since taking over.

The attendance reflects what was served up over many years. This was coming, just Covid and subsequent issues sped it up. Cardiff served its time and was magical in the early years, peaking with the Harris last bend pass on Hancock. Nothing lasts forever.

Yes Manchester has always been associated with wet weather, what surprised me was the list of the wettest cities in the UK, number one Cardiff with a monthly average rainfall of 96mm and 12.4 days per month. Manchester? We came in at number 15.
