Ipswich - Were close last year but decimated with injuries at the critical time of the season. The Doyle, Sayfutdinov + Brennan trio will compete with opposition. Second strings are solid and if they can get Thompson or Jenkins on a hot strak at reserve will be there at the business end of the season. 

Belle Vue - Are going to be dominant at the NSS with Bewley + Kurtz. Cook / Lidsey / Blodorn should score enough to keep them competitive. Need Zischke to come back strong after injury 

Sheffield - Tai may take a little time to het back into the groove but give it 6 weeks he should be back on the pace and looking to prove all and sundry wrong. The Aussie trio of Pickering + Holders x2 will complete a top 4 that will be strong enough to make the play-offs. Flint + Rowe + Hume will probably be in and out of the reserve berth depending on who hits a run of form at the right time. 

Leicester / Kings Lynn - Think this will depend on whose team can get momentum at the right time and which team can get consistency out of the reserves. Stars have gone for a solid side 1-7 whilst potentially the Lions Aussie trio is slightly stronger as a heat-leader trio. Over the season the Stars depth could just get the 4th play off spot. 

Oxford will need significant improvement out of all of the team and Tungate to maintain his form last season. They won a lot of close meetings at home last season with Nicholls offering solid support and not sure Riss + Wright can cover his loss or consistency. Birmingham is a team of too may "ifs" for my liking. Zagar, Jepsen Jensen and Musielak could be excellent one week and could equally struggle. the next Considering the jeopardy of Perry Barr - I hope the Brummies can have a better season than last year and give the support something to cheer.

Just been looking at all the team line ups and if there's one side I had to miss out on watching it would defo be Leicester. Just my opinion of course, but it just looks a very steady eddie type of side with not much excitement thrown in. Rather bland if I'm being honest.

I think they'll do far more than that, should dominate the strength in depth teams, maybe only Sheffield have a stronger heat leader trio?

I think their reserves will improve, but even without going on a "hot streak" expect them to be favourites.

Flint + Rowe + Hume will probably be in and out of the reserve berth depending on who hits a run of form at the right time. 

Personally don't see Hume ever moving out of the reserve berth, Flint potentially could move out by the end of the season (by virtue of getting the easier rides) but it'll take a while for Rowe's rolling ave to drop (if it does) so expect him to be in the top 5 most of the season.

Agree with your comments about Woffy, think he'll prove the doubters wrong.

If Birmingham's top end are "excellent one week and struggle the next", that'll be an improvement on 2024 when they pretty much struggled every week. Like you, hoping Brummies can be better this season.

But yeah, on the whole, sensible predictions.

The only odds that look remotely interesting to me there is Birmingham. I know a lot don’t fancy them, but I think they look interesting. All it takes is 4th spot, then anything can happen injury wise to the favourites by then as we’ve seen last season. No real value in going for any of the top three. Lynn possibly a decent bet.

I think they’ve got that just about right personally. That top 4 looks play off certainties for me and I think the bottom 3 there will realise pretty quickly that they’ll have to make changes before they all get cut adrift of 4th spot. The race for a play off spot could be over and done with by July leaving us with a boring second half of the season if they don’t. Just can’t see any of those bottom 3 making any serious challenge.

I think the only team worth backing at this moment in time is Ipswich because they'll shorten drastically if they hit the ground running which will then lead to everyone else drifting in the market.

Ipswich will have to have a very slow start to the season to see any drift on the 15/8 currently on offer imo and it's very unlikely considering Ipswich's first 5 league fixtures are Birmingham x2, Oxford x2 and Leicester all teams that aren't favoured for play-off spots.

Imo it's a case of take the 15/8 now and hope Ipswich aren't cursed by injuries again or back against them during the season as it wouldn't make any sense in taking a short price of 6/5 or 5/4 for example on Ipswich after turning down 15/8.
