LagutaRacingFan
Prices should be kept affordable. Lots of people are going to be losing their disability benefits in the Spring and that will squeeze budgets. The fim do Let’s get one thing straight. The FIM supply the officials and make the rules. WBD are the right’s holders- in other words it is their gig. They then sell the individual GP’s to the tracks or Federation as is the case of the PZM and the Warsaw GP. Those tracks then sell the tickets at a price they set- and hope to make a profit doing so. Anything you say different to the above is just plain cr@p !! 4

But hasn't the British GP always been promoted by the rights owners, not the stadium owners? Don't think the Welsh Rugby Union know much about staging Speedway. Yes in BSI’s(IMG’s) day but under the current lot they have not been the named promoter- John Postlethwaite was the named promoter for at least 1 year and maybe 2 under WBD. So basically we don't know who is organising the events. (Nor do we need to). Could be as it's always been, WBD (with or without BSI). Could be the BSPL/ACU. Could be Manchester Council as stadium owners. Could be the Belle Vue club owners. The only people who know are those who signed the contract. Everyone else is just guessing. They are not really guessing because the FIM issue Supplementary regulations(SR’s) which are in the public domain and always include the GP Promoter with full company details with contact person and Email etc. Cardiff SR details in 2024 i couldn’t find. Edit i made an error in the previous post and it wasn’t Posselthwaite but Paul Bellemy. Edit 2 It does look as if Discovery Sports events and WBD did take over being the official Cardiff promoter when they were awarded the rights.
