We've paid £600 in total , including flights, 3 nights accommodation in central Prague and  GP tickets for this year's  Czech GP. The exact  same price as  quoted for 2 nights accommodation at a local Premier inn for 2 nights in Manchester.

I'll take a flat Speedway atmosphere in a great City like Prague any day of the week.

Apart from the crap track & racing.

But what a weekend 🤪

It's the only GP we've attended where the Speedway is an added bonus and you have to remember to attend.

And if you really don't like crap tracks and racing then you must really struggle watching racing over here .

Ticket sales still seem to be going well, since the one-day options went on sale this morning.

Glad I got mine last Friday.

Obviously the main grandstand was already a complete sell out last week, but there were one-day tickets for both Friday and Saturday on the back straight standing at 10am this morning.   They all appear to have gone now.

The temporary East stand still has tickets, but the middle sections have pretty much all gone for Saturday.

The back straight standing is showing a few tickets available for either night now.

I suspect some people may have put tickets in their cart when they were released this morning, but not completed on paying for them, so they've been released back for sale.

Other than that there's still some in the temporary seating.   Looks like it is selling very quickly though

Will the winning rider from the British Final ( or runner up if Bewley wins) be the Wildcard for both nights  GPs ?

I hope not... I want to see Laguta or Sayfutdinov for the price I'm paying!

Nothing has been announced yet.

Could use the highest placed non-GP rider from the British Final for both or, since they are 2 separate GPs, could use the first and second highest, and let 2 riders have the experience of one GP each.

Can't really make my mind up which I think is the fairest.

Might have sold well but still currently tickets available for both days 1516 Friday and 579 Saturday... Thats still 2079 unsold tickets.. All these people who said it will sell out and people will pay over the odds for tickets seem to have been deluded..

3600 east stand - £79 = £284,400
1900 grandstand - £215 - £408,500
1200 south stand - £69 = £82,800
Ticket sales = Sold out full paying = £775,700
Unsold -
Friday 1516
Saturday 579
£164,421 unsold in ticket sales currently

Worst post ever LOL.

12K tickets on sale across the 2 days and 10.1k sold, with just 563 of those left for the Saturday, its already proved they priced it right.  With 3 months to go I may add.

King of straw clutching,  the fact you will go so far to try and prove there is an issue tells me your motivation for it to fail is foremost in your thoughts.

Got to be the silliest post so far (and you had competition)

No one said it would sell out in 24 hours.  It will however sell out.

Probably a lot of people hoping it doesn't sell out before next week, since a lot of people only get paid at the end of the month.

p.s.  Please tell me you weren't sad enough to count the dots on the seating plan.

Maybe a lot of people waiting to see if Ben Barker qualifies from the British Final for both nights 😉

Correct me if I'm wrong, but but I'm guessing the capacity is circa 6400.

It doesn't seem to be stated, but looking for stadium info online, the main stand is circa 1800, South stand standing 1200 & 3400 ish in the temporary East Stand. I guess that ties in with your 12K figure for 2 events.

Given that Belle Vue is the biggest club in the UK, and home of the NSS, it would be reasonable to think that the Belle Vue fan base should account for around half of that 6400 capacity at each event. The pricing isn't going to be such an issue for them, without travel & accommodation costs it's cheaper than Cardiff.

That would leave just 3000 tickets per event to sell to the wider Speedway audience. It would be sad for Speedway if that's not achievable, but could hardly be considered a success story for the sport or the event if it happens, because it's such a low bar to set.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not accusing Belle Vue of ripping people off. I'm sure it's priced at a level that it needs to be to make it work for them with the cost of the East Stand to cover & I genuinely hope it's a success.

I'd pay those prices if it was at Poole, but I'd expect there to be some spiky comments from your neck of the woods if it was!

The 2, back to back events haven't helped the wider audience that couldn't afford both events, because by the time single event tickets were available, all the main stand seating was sold.

I've no axe to grind because I wasn't going to Cardiff anyway. The move from it's traditional June/July date into August and later, finished that for me. The Manchester dates would have suited me, but although my wife isn't a Speedway fan, she loved Cardiff & we went as a family for a lot of years. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be sell her the idea of being exposed to the elements in a temporary stand, queuing for a portaloo or a bus to & from the event, so it's not for me.

Did you see the crowd on Monday night? I think half is a bit ambitious... maybe a third at the absolute best.

Yes, I'm aware of that, but I did say 'fan base' and not people who regularly attend.

I was including the fans that will turn up for big events like play offs but not regular fixtures, so I don't think my estimate is unreasonable for a GP.

Probably a lot of fans couldn't afford to go on Monday after paying for their GP tickets? 😁
