Its supply and demand, if they sell out or a large number of them do then they got the price right, if they sell too quick then maybe there too cheap. Being charged those prices for a speedway meeting is a rip off. Of course the tickets were going to sell - you could add even more to the price and they would because there are plenty of wealthy people who will pay the prices. That prat Saltbae or whatever he is called (the Arab chef), his restaurants were full for years despite rip off prices and most who went leaving underwhelmed. He charged a fortune yet had a full house every night and I have been to one of his restaurants and it was an absolute rip off. Thats the first example of many that come to mind. Just because people pay the prices doesn't mean its not a rip off. Be interesting to see what you would say if the meeting was being held somewhere else in the UK with those prices being released. THE DEAN MACHINE
Mrs got tickets this morning for her and my lad but I said don’t get me any ,if they still got some left on the day/s I might go but belle vue just doesn’t inspire me as a GP venue, I’m not knocking the place it’s great and all that for league racing but I want something different from the GP and belle vue just doesn’t offer it imo Edited 16 hours ago by THE DEAN MACHINE

So if they are going to sell why would they be cheaper. I'm not wealthy but i can afford it. If those prices were at another track I can choose to go or not go, that's life isn't it? But costing £168 for me and my son for 2 meetings would not alter my decision to go or not. If they all sell then they priced it right, if you cant afford those prices and others can, then again that's life. If there are 50% of tickets left then they got it wrong and that will be on them, but early sales suggest that's not the case. The only barometer on whether the pricing is right or wrong is based on final ticket sales, not your or my or anybody else's opinion. After that there is no better place than Belle Vue. I go for the speedway not the day out.

IainB
Having it at the NSS may very well be good for the purist but as a showpiece event, the biggest Speedway meeting of the year in the UK it won't get any attention outside of the Speedway world at all, as it never did when it was held at Hackney, Bradford or Coventry WBD have absolutely run the whole event into the ground, no showpiece events anymore, except for Warsaw, a bunch of mediocre riders at a provincial stadium and costing a bloody fortune whether you decide to attend or watch it on TV. The sooner they are out of our sport the better! Edited 15 hours ago by IainB

We cant just blame WBD for that, its the state of British Speedway.

I can and I will, it's not just about British Speedway... We've gone from Copenhagen to a track in the middle of an industrial estate, we've gone from Berlin/Gelsenkirchen to a field somewhere in Germany, we've gone from Gothenburg/Stockholm to the middle of a forest in Sweden, we've gone from Cardiff to the slums of Manchester! WBD have destroyed the SGP as a spectacle
SUPERACE
Of the tickets released today there are just 171 tickets left in the south and Grandstand. 154 in the South and just 17 in the Grand Stand. 1963 tickets left in the east stand, not sure if that stand is 3k or 4k capacity (my guess is 3K). WOW. Edited 14 hours ago by SUPERACE

British Speedway is in no real worse state than it was in 2019 when there was about 40,000 attending Cardiff... WBD take over and the rest is history I'm afraid.
