Grand Prix Ticket Sales

Recommended Posts

Got my tickets 2 nights in the South stand, a family ticket, so cost for me and my lad is £84.00 a meeting, bargin price that.

As for the grandstand just counted and there are 156 tickets left for both nights, and only 300 left in South stand.  WOW.  Seems they got those prices right.

Also looking at the East stand they have already sold more tickets than they did for Nations.

correct all those fans on here should go into hiding for making pathetic posts that it would fall on it's face how stupid do they feel right now !! glad to see the true true fans have bought tickets and will no doubt witness a spectacular weekend of racing !!

The most expensive  tickets were not available to purchase. Presumably,  kept back for sponsors  etc.

If that was always  going to be the case, then they shouldn't really  have been on the website as available to buy.

Now showing as sold out

So because people are buying them that means that ripping off fans is OK?

it just means there are a certain number of people who can afford those prices thats all

Things are only sold at prices people can afford. That’s true of all things and has been for centuries. Nobody is being ripped off here.

Looking at the sales, they could have charged more but choose not to - more fool them a Dragon would say.

I use to visit other tracks to watch speedway RACING and came away feeling ripped off due to the poor product on show. I don’t visit away tracks anymore, like many many more.

My biggest issue with this process is that day ticket buyers will have slim pickings once the 2-Dayers have swooped in.

There was a lot of tickets blocked off which I assume will be for the one dayers next week.

the £250 tickets never went on sale so they must be for the guests and hospitality and once that’s sorted will go on general sale.

so while it looks like the grandstand is sold out it isn’t. But it’s sold better than I imagined it would so that good.

south stand is selling very well and east is ok so far. More there than there was for son so far so that’s better.

Yes it's supply and demand, if people are buying then there not a rip off.  I've got a family ticket in the south, it's cost me (me and son) £168 total for both nights, that's far from a rip off.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Just because they are being sold, doesn't mean they aren't a rip off.

As far as speedway and prices go, those ticket prices are an absolute p**stake. End of story.

Which tickets were blocked off? When I logged in all of A, B and C were up for sale and I got the seats I was looking for. Have they since stated pulling seats to save them for the 1 day people?

Really?? That's not how business works.  Its supply and demand, if they sell out or a large number of them do then they got the price right, if they sell too quick then maybe there too cheap.

To put it into context I’m at the Le Mans 24 hours the same weekend as Belle Vue and a general admission week ticket for that event is £129. Those prices released today for Speedway GP are ridiculous.

To add a bit more context and comparison to another GP I'm attending this year.

Block C Seats for the 2-night package at the NSS are £215. So, £107.50 for each GP.

I was bought a ticket as a Christmas present for the Wroclaw GP on 30 August. It is Sektor V1 in the Main Grandstand at the Olympic Stadium. This is pretty much the equivalent position between the starting gate and the first bend.

Face value of the Wroclaw ticket is 499PLN - almost exactly £100 depending on the exchange rate at the time of purchase.

Their equivalent back straight tickets (and seated too) could be cheaper than those in the South Stand at the NSS, but from where my tickets are located at both venues it's not too much different.
