I beg to differ, £90 as a starting price for a Speedway GP is far too much.

No there's no contradiction, I cleared that up on my original tweet, I expect next year to be only 1 GP, so the outlay is going to be less as they are obviously not going to charge the same for 1 GP as it is for a current 2 day ticket.

I agree I think there's every chance your right and I'd also be very surprised, but some seem to think that they have held some back for Wednesday.  If they have it won't be many.

You don't seem to understand that it's going to cost them the same to hire a 3,000 seater grandstand whether it be a 1 or 2  day event and if you're running your event only on 1 day you're going to have to charge more to cover your costs than spreading your costs over 2 days worth of ticket sales... it's basic maths and economics

Why would they hold tickets back for Wednesday if they can sell them now?   That would make no sense, and SGP isn't a charity.

Where are all the people who were predicting an empty stadium?

I knew they'd sell fast, and got mine early.  All the grandstands seemed available at 10am, so if any are held back they can only be the back-straight I'd guess.

The grandstand is now showing completely full, it's hard to tell how many back straight have sold, although I'm hearing they're almost all gone.   East stand seems to be selling pretty well too.   I don't expect the East stand will sell out before Wednesday, but I suspect that if people want to go for just 1 day, then the East stand will be the only option available by Wednesday.  If I only wanted to go one day, I think I'd buy the 2-day package, and try to sell the other day on to another fan.  

Perhaps someone needs to set up an app to match people who can only go Friday, with people who can only go Saturday, get the 2-day discount and share the saving.

If you think that 1 day next year will be charged more than 2 days this year then I can't help you. Of course it's more profitable to run 2 back to back GPs but that isn't the norm.  The cost savings this year are a bonus that they will have to do without next year.

I think your right, but we will know for sure on Wednesday, I'm just relaying the opinion of others not mine. You can hover over the south stand icon on a PC and it tells you how many are left, it was less than a hundred this morning.

That's not what I'm saying at all... I'm saying 1 night next year will be quite a bit more than 1 night this year.

on the SGPManchester.com website for the single day option available which will be available from Wednesday it already shows the Main Grandstand sold out, so the only options would appear to be south stand or east stand.  (unless south stand also sells out before Wednesday)

If you hadn't noticed the sport, in the UK at least, is on its absolute arse. Those type of prices do nothing to try and attempt to bring new fans into the sport.

If you genuinely think the prices are reasonable then good for you. It seems the majority don't. The minority who do are all Belle Vue fans.

You don't make any sense.

The grandstand sold out in less than a day.   They can't bring any more people in beyond a full house.   If anything, the speed of the sales says the prices were too low.

Or it says the capacity wasn't enough... it may be a harder sell next year when the prices will undoubtedly be higher and all those that have given Cardiff a miss because "the racing was crap" realise that watching a GP at the NSS is just like watching the PCMT or British Final, absolutely nothing "special" about it at all.

they have to. They can’t tell you there will be one day tickets and then say there isn’t any when they are on sale. 
 

I worked it out that there is around 400 tickets saved for Wednesday for the one dayers. 
 

pricing I thought was a little steep in the grandstand but Bloodyhell they sold way quicker than I thought so they got the pricing right. 
 

all they got to do now is use the money they got from this to improve the south facilities before the GP hopefully
