What's the NSS capacity with the East Stand?

Not sure if the east stand is 3 or 4k capacity.

1894 in Grandstand

1600 in south stand (I think)

so either 6.5 or 7.5k depending on east stand size.

That was never really going to be difficult to sell-out tbh, how sustainable it is remains to be seen

According to most on here the tickets wouldn't sell at the prices quoted.  There won't be two GPs every year so prices will be lower next year.

Do you think so? I would have thought it'd be more as the cost of the East Stand will have to be recouped in one night next year. Surely that's the main cost, I would assume any staging fees for 2 GP's this year will have been reduced to help WBD out with the pulling of the plug at Cardiff... who knows 🤷‍♂️

I will definitely agree it was time to move from Cardiff. Back in the day when crowds were regular pushing 40,000 it was superb and the whole day was great. I haven't been since 2012 but to see the crowds so low on the TV was a shame. It had definitely served its time and I don't actually disagree with it going to Belle Vue. We all know it will be a good GP weather permitting and in fairness your not that far away from the City.

What gets me is how they have charged such huge prices for it. If I still lived in the UK, would I have gone? Probably to be honest but it still doesn't sit right with me.

Despite my previous comments, I do hope you have two days of sunshine and superb racing and it goes well.

Absolutely it won't cost £115 in the South stand for 1 meeting, that is fairly obvious. To be clear I'm basing it on if your going to both meetings this year not just the 1.

As off this morning. One ticket left in grand stand. Remember tickets for day passes still to go on sale. So seats will be available ( well let's see ) lol

I wonder how many they have left for day passes, suppose we will find out Wednesday, but I'd expect they haven't left too many aside.

Just doing a quick Google search the price of hiring grandstands seems to be around £100 per seat, so assuming the East Stand seats 3,000 that's £300,000, divide that by the total capacity, let's go with 7,000, and split that over the 2 nights, that suggests that each ticket this year includes a £21 charge for the East Stand. Double that for 1 night means a £69 ticket this year could start from £90 next year, assuming there's no double header again... that'll test people!

Your not taking into account sponshersip and TV money, I expect 1 night to go up but it will still be cheaper than this year. £90 is not excessive for GP Speedway.

There's sponsorship and TV money offsetting this year's ticket price also though, so I'm not sure what you mean by this. You expect it to go up but be cheaper than this year, that's a total contradiction, do you mean you expect it to be less than this year's single day ticket price of £69?

I beg to differ, £90 as a starting price for a Speedway GP is far too much.
