Neila
Bit away but direct train link to Manchester, I'm staying in Preston Central premier inn, £50 for Friday nite, train in and out of Manchester, drive in on Saturday then back home to Cumbria. That's if I get / can afford a ticket for 2 days
longmeadow
This whole 2 nights in manchester is becoming a farce. No tickets on sale. Hotel prices have gone through the roof. We take away a 60000 stadium with a roof and replace it with a tiny venue where it rains a lot. Just give poland another night. At least fans will turn up
Dodger Blue
The biggest issue for me is not knowing how much tickets will be and when they are on sale .... Surely they know by now ??!!

Surely they know by now ??!! They should know but the delay, and lack of communication regarding ticket sale date and cost, does make me wonder if there are things going on in the background as per other rumours (i.e Switching weekends with Gorzow or cancellation of the Friday night). Anyway, I'm basing my costings on the SoN event last year and the cheapest grandstand ticket was £85.00 for the final so I'm looking at roughly £170.00 this time.

Thats per person, Multiply that x4... what with a £200 hotel, food and drinks we looking at a grand for a maximum of 60 minutes speedway... Not really a cost for family weekend in my opinion. possibly based on prices and availabilty might have to abandon the friday and do saturday there and back in the day.. I agree with you, the pricing is too high. If both days do go ahead I think they had best have a package available to ensure Friday is well attended.
a4poster
This is getting a little frustrating now. The longer the delay the more I am siding with the view that it isn’t going to take place. Surely at worst they could say is tickets are expected to go on sale at the end of the month.

We've used Preston South Premier inn a few times for football in Lancashire as its always cheap, is close to the motorway junction & has ample free parking. The restaurant isn't great, but there's a big pub opposite which is better & does a good breakfast too. You have to take a 10 minute train ride from Bamber bridge to Preston in order to get the Manchester train though.

I personally can't see Poland giving up a round to GB, more likely moved to another Polish track

After the way that people have been messed around with the Cardiff cancellation, this situation is very poor and is showing total contempt for the fans. I understand the logistical problems in arranging 2 GP's at relatively short notice and working out the costing etc. But a statement explaining the reasons for the delay would go a long way, rather than the wall of silence.

mikebv
£50 a meeting in the "normal seats" in the Grandstand and £90 for both days would be the maximum expected I suggest . With £40 for standing per meeting and £75 for both .. No need to subsidise other meetings like the SON final had to do last season, so no need to charge the prices that they needed to do then.. When compared to Premiership prices, for a World Class event, those admission fees would be value for me, and a 5,000 crowd both days would deliver circa £400k..
longmeadow
Why is mark lemon making the rules. He has nothing to do with the sgp series. He is just belle vue team manager. This whole event is a joke
