Falcon1983
Dont mind the idea in principal of Poole getting a wild card as current championship champions etc. However the way the sport works with shared riders makes it difficult to bring any credibility to it So it says they can build to prem standards while maintaining some of its championship riders But if they have some of their championship riders in a prem side already who would then get priority surely that makes them cup tied from riding for Poole? So would Poole then need to build a complete different 1-7 for the prem KO Cup and select that from a pool of riders who dont have a prem club? Some clubs struggle to put a 1-7 together anyway So for me the principal idea is OK but doesnt work Prem KO Cup would have been better to have done 2 groups of 3 Group A Ipswich, Kings Lynn & Brum Group B Sheffield, Belle Vue, Leicester One home and one away meeting I.e. Ipswich vs Kings Lynn Brum vs Ipswich Kings Lynn vs Brum No two legs etc Top 2 in the Groups qualify for seni finals where you revert to normal 2 leg meetings Winner Group A vs Runner Up Group B etc.

Fortythirtyeight
Underwhelmed…again. Announcing ‘potential NDL extension’ ?….so something that hasn't actually been sorted and they promised a lot last year that didnt materialise. ‘Big weekend event’? In APRIL ??? Loads of questions… if these are to be run in early April some clubs wont have started their fixtures and we could be faced with riders representing clubs they have yet to ride for in any sort of meaningful fixture ? As they run so early then Im assuming the rider qualifications will be judged on the previous seasons average ? Riders Championship should be towards the end if the season so a club knows who is its number 1, not based on what happened the previous year, when so many riders will have moved clubs. No 4 team tournament is a disappointment. Two British GP’s and no big event the night before ? Cup/ BSN draws ?…they obviously weren't drawn at all. Disappointed? …yes, but then we knew it would be the same old same old…

Radical change will never happen, given it didn't take place during covid which was the perfect time to reset and relaunch.. All we have is all there is, hence, keep expectations low, and just go along to enjoy the racing, and hopefully all tracks get through the season again, like last year... IainB
So still 1H1A in the CL? Despite everyone I heard comment on it saying that it was ridiculous, some clubs to finish in August again

szkocjasid
I would've like to have seen an effort made into limiting guests or at least teams not being able to strengthen themselves with a use of guest. But they'd never vote for that in case it hurts their own team.

Lol yeah forgot about Oxford, long day at the office Then that would be a qualifying group of 7 clubs, all riding 3 home vs 3 away with the top 4 advancing to the semi finals Or you have One group of 4, one group of 3 with the top 2 going into the semi finals, still work it out that you ride one home one away So say in a group of 4 Oxford, ipswich, kings lynn and brum Ipswich v lynn Brum v Oxford Lynn v brum Oxford v ipswich

I assume that as he's been granted a testimonial he will be back in the UK next year. More Doyle for me but as someone who did see Tai’s debut for Sheffield all those years ago I’ve no issue with him having one nor the other guys

Despite everyone I heard comment on it saying that it was ridiculous, some clubs to finish in August again The target - as this season - is for all league fixtures to be completed by 31st August, with September for play-offs and remaining BSN and KO Cup fixtures. That would have been achieved this year but for rain-offs, eg Poole completed their league programme and then had to wait for others to sort their remaining fixtures out. The big drawback to that is the same few successful clubs all meet each other in successive weeks in Sept/Oct. So imo the BSN and/or KO Cup fixtures should all be completed by June/July. However priority was given to league fixtures being completed first...... Edited 27 minutes ago by SteveLyric2

BSN should be the priority to finish first, with so few league fixtures they shouldn't be concerned with completing them before the end of August, should be easy to do.
