As for Declan, as far as I can tell based on what little results info I can find on him.

Worse than: Tate Zischke, Luke Killeen, Declan Killeen.

Better than: Jacob Hook, Dayle Wood, Matt Marson.

I know that doesn't tell you much 🤣

Zaine has ridden over here before a few years back and he was more than capable of being a solid number 6 or a good number 2, but he's had some horrific injuries.

Declans form in Australia is quite good, beats zischke on multiple occasions and for the Killeen boys there from WA so don’t really compete on the eastern side of the country.
definitely a better rider then hook and wood etc.

Zaine was having a good end of season in 2022 just before his big crash at scunny bagging double figure scores and beating heat leaders and I had heard that he was just about to do a deal for a top league team the week he crashed. He didn’t ride much last year in 2023 but has rode all year this year in the Darcy ward meetings and won that series. I expect him to return to scunny next year ready to go.

What about the comments about Howarth about wanting a track closer to him? Pretty sure Glasgow is further away than Scunny lol.

Maybe he's seen sense and decided to move to the bright lights of possilpark, a lovely part of the world 🙄.

It does seem like one HL 3 2nd strings and 3 reserves, particularly away from home. But as mentioned scunny track specialists so win most/ all home meetings and the odd bonus point

Compared to several other predicted lineups this one looks average. Reliability comes from Worrall and Harrison with the rest capable of solid scores or poor scores with little rhyme or reason. Reserve is the potential trump area if the Kennedys can find any sort of form but if not im not convinced its a side that will be unbeaten at home.

So it is as expected!

Hopefully Worrall can be a proper number 1 and compete when Howarth couldn’t.

Reliability in the middle order trio returning in that you know they’ll all be brilliant most weeks at home but put in some stinkers away. Allen at number 5 away is going to struggle imo.

Then that unfortunately puts some pressure on the bottom 3 to up their averages. Harrison is doing fantastically and deserves a season to get his bearings in the main body but tbh I won’t be surprised if he gets even better. Then the Kennedy’s could really do anything. Zaine showed potential when he was over here before and it’s a lot of new tracks for Declan, but at least they’ve got the comfort of being at reserve.

Howarth lives in Wiltshire area now with wife & new born baby

That's what I thought! So needs to think of another reason not to ride for Scunny as obviously not the distance thing!👇

Well where he’s going is way north of that.

Perhaps he just doesn't want to...? Does there need to be a reason?

Perhaps he feels Glasgow is a worthwhile of a club to travel for where Scunthorpe isn't. With all due respect Glasgow is much more professionally run and much more likely to be chasing for honours.

True, although long way for home meetings!
