Having seen the crowd and the way some of riders treated CLRC last year, probably right it is awarded to a lesser track

Personally thought even with a so called lesser strength line up it was a decent meeting. If the so called big boys don’t want to ride so be it . Don’t invite them back full stop .

1. Steve Worrall

2. Luke Harrison

3. Simon Lambert

4. Connor Mountain

5. Jake Allen

6. Zaine Kennedy

7. Declan Kennedy

I think that is the team 39.33, 0.67 under limit but decent team. I might have gone with MPT over Jake Allen.

Where is Ryan Douglas have his testimonial?

A line up that I have pencilled in. Although I also have one wihout Lambo ? Rob is usually very loyal to his riders.

I favour going "top heavy" that way we are competitive in heats 13 & 15. Non the less 7pt + riders are thin on the ground so there is logic to your 1-7. Certainly room for all of them to add to their starting averages.

I would like to see Ryans Testimonial at Scunny. But it will depend on his main sponsors and where he races in the UK next season. Say he moved across to Birmingham for 2025 ? I would say he be just as well having the meeting at Scunny ?

If at Leicester he has enough of a connection with the Lions crowd to get a good turn out there.

In any event Ryan would be deserving of our support for his Big Day.

I think Tofty’s last six weeks of this season put paid to him coming back , he was poor when Scunny needed him to be on top form

The infield announcer has been Kevin Moore for nearly all of the season instead of Rob. Kevin is very knowledgeable , leaving Rob to concentrate more on track grading, watering etc.

Never seen much track grading or watering during a meeting at Scunthorpe, other tracks tend to do a few during the meeting. I will say that racing is top quality at Scunthorpe, as it is at Workington , Redcar and Glasgow, these tracks alongside BelleVue are the best in the country

Lambo is part of the team I’m sure as he’s invested in new equipment for 2025

That adds substance to the team we have put forward on this thread.

I suppose point for point Lambo on 5 83 (after 2.5% reduction) is good value certainly around Scunny.

Going with a top two of Worrall and Jake, will increase the need for Connor and Lambo to step it up certainly looking to the Big Heats.

With the above I cannot see us going for a 2-3 point reserve. It gives weight to the idea that we are bringing in two reserves who can add to their averages. The Kennedys, Zaine  4.27 & Declan 4.00 would surely fit that requirement

Then with Luke 4.32  up in the 1-5 and very capable of adding 2pts to that we have a declared Team CMA of 39.33.

Its looks a competive line up. Lots to look forward to in 2025.

Luke has done exceptionally well in his first Championship season. I just hope he is not pushed too hard, (same as Hagon) Number 2 is a massive move up from reserve and not an easy position to ride at all. Good luck to him, steady progress is quite acceptable at this early stage of his  career.

If Harrison is in the top 5 can't see him putting 2 points on his average, like @scunny1 said steady progress would be a good season.

But if the Kennedy's are at reserve, could mean Luke & Zaine swapping positions each month.

We know Luke won't increase his average if he rides at 2 which is not a problem .
