The losing interest part has long gone for many. The challenge to attract new supporters is a major task with such a sporadic fixture list and lack of continuity for promotions. Early season would be the time to run individual events... Pre Poland and Sweden.. "Well paid" practice and engine testing for the top riders before the "serious stuff" in Poland kicks in.. The first two or three weeks of the season... You would only need three or four "top riders" at each event on the Championship tracks I would suggest . Do a 12 rider field to help with costs, do some handicap racing to even up the meeting (like Wolves used to do with the Olympique) and see if a few "big names" can start your season with a bit of a bang.. Most Championship clubs are actually in "small" towns, even those with big city names, so advertising locally wouldn't cost the earth either, and most in these towns will have heard of Speedway I would think... Technik Posted October 29 Report Share Posted October 29 If one big league is what people want & they also want to see the top tier riders then the race nights will be Monday & Thursday only as it will be the new Premier league. I'm almost 100% sure that it will not happen, to many clubs cannot afford the big card riders & will suffer as crowds will shrink. it's one thing to watch the SGP stars but when your team struggles at home many will stay away. Other clubs cannot ensure crowd figures on these nights, I offer Poole as a prime example. But whatever league structure is in place in 2025 I feel Oxford have more than proved they can opperate in all available leagues & finish in good time. lets be fair had it not been for multiple rain offs/poor forecasts in the running of the finals it would have been all done by the end of September 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Polish Speedway is probably the biggest obstacle. It will be interesting to see how Oxford crowds hold up next season and how they have held up since the 2022 season. If, and it isn't going to happen , the championship went 2 H and 2A then I doubt very much that Oxford, or even Leicester , Redcar or Edinburgh would run in the NDL.
