IainB
Over and out, I'm off before all the insufferable gloating starts. Winter well, even Pirates ☠️ fans, you'll need the close season to polish all your pots 🏆🏆🏆

Steve Shovlar
Well it was as expected but a big crowd there again tonight. Oxford were well received and roundly applauded by the Poole fans, right down to Peter Schreok and Luke Killeen. Let no one say Poole fans are unsporting. Meeting itself was as expected but frustrating when in a clear 5-1 when Gilkes fell on bend three. Tried to clear but ref too fast on the red button. In the rerun Boughen, who had done sweet eff all tailed off, gated and beat Lawson. Now, this is just ridiculous. A rider 100 metres behind in his first two rides, beating our number one. Something seriously wrong here. And guess what, in his last ride he was tailed off at the back again. Never seen anything like it. Either he is doing it on purpose or there’s a far deeper issue. If he rode for Poole he wouldn’t get away with this. Ben Cook was interviewed at the end and said he was giving up Championship speedway as he aims to climb higher in the sport. Said he will still be here every week next year as living at Middlos. Was told it could well be 39 points limit next season.

old bob at herne bay
Sounds like a bit of reach “fixing” going on there Steve re Boughen. Does he know Lawson ? wonder if there is any intent from Ford’s to move Pool into the “top tier” to maybe keep their team together. Other than reckless and hagon they surely have a ready built. “top tier” side. ? The main problem as regs stand would seem to be race night . The finances would be interesting. Would they attract any more fans to watch “ top tier” sport? Their riders would need to find new double down clubs to ride for in the CL and would demand higher wages. Admission charges would increase and may affect crowds. personally think Ford’s have more business sense…. So Pool will win the treble next season ….. don’t see much opposition tbh. Merry Christmas everybody.

Seems to me like it would be a really good idea, to have some kind of international team match. Maybe uk league champs vs Polish or Danish equivalent for the last match of the season. If true, why can't they convince the fans to turn up on Thursdays for Premiership racing? Or even enter a NDL team as well as Champ? If they are the "best supporters ever" they'll turn up & support the team whatever right?

It because they run it as a business to make the max profit they don’t throw money at GP riders topping up their pocket money. They have already explained that a number of times. They maybe don’t see it as profitable ,certainly some Clubs struggled in the past. The Team Berwick we’re running a couple of seasons ago weren’t cheap and crowds levels were nothing special.Hence stopped.
