Poole V Oxford. KO Cup Final. 16/17 October 2024

Recommended Posts

You can see a big difference in the team managers of the two clubs. Last week Schroeck leaves Boughen in his 4th ride, doesn't give Killeen a 6th race.

Tonight despite Poole being well ahead & having one hand on the trophy, Middlo drops Hagon for Thomsen in heat 8. Perhaps a shame for Hagon, but shows Poole's mentality when it comes to winning.

Then Jack Smith scores more than Connor Coles (who doesn't beat an opponent) but Coles gets more rides! Does Schroeck even fill in a programme?

Congrats to Vinnie rose above all the stick he took from his critics.Poole riders are always motivated.

Oxford threw in the towel, track did not suit them which usually the case, for Home Team suffers more when conditions are tricky and different

Would agree Poole even put Top 2 in Heat 15(just in case). You would think Coles had never been on a bike the way he rode tonight.

Roynon talks a good game pity he can’t replicate it on track.

In all fairness, he had the talent to go all the way and suffered from plenty of horrendous injuries that most wouldn't come back from. Can't knock him for that.

The crash at Lynn in particular, to actually come back from that and score as well as he did in the following years is insane.

Oxford’s head have dropped now, you can see it in the body language of the riders, only heeps and gilkes looks like it matters

Once they lost Scott it was all over as a competition.

So Oxford travel to Pool next Wednesday ( weather permitting) with more gusts than their own riders.

Congratulations to Pool…..they have defeated an Oxford select  four times.

You can only race against the riders in the opposition be it 1-7 or guests not the fault of Poole if opposition are not at full strength.Another top Poole team that will be disbanded to be rebuilt by the Ford's pity we can't rejoin the top league add the Holders,Kurtz and Janowski or a permutation of and we wouldn't do to badly but probably a pipe dream, still we've still got a team well next season at least.
