old bob at herne bay
Well it’s Wednesday .. the sun is shining in Herne Bay and it’s unseasonably warm. Pool is obviously wet. Surprised that a delay of one week has been allowed by the SCB? Pool must think next Wednesday will be dry .. always a gamble in early winter. Seems Middlo and his mates can only get to Wimborne Road on Wednesdays! Do they ever race on any other day but Wednesday ?

The occasional Friday and Sunday but the forecast for Friday is just as bad, and Brennan missing on Sunday so what better gesture than giving Killeen the chance to take his place next Wednesday

Not in this case. I work nights, and it rained all night. On my drive home, there was lots of deep standing water. It's only just stopped now but the forecast for late afternoon & evening is for more solid rain. There was no way this was ever going ahead today. Supersub
With rain from last night and heavy rain forecast this evening, tonight's meeting was not going to take place. Why do people question Poole's decision to postpone the meeting? I don't think Shroek will call off tomorrow unless the weather intervenes, as next week Killeen should be fit. j2ohh
N.I.D. it was going to be off . the same as Oxford will be off tomorrow and luke will be able to fit back in again . hope it will not be too cold for the older Poole supporters .. All I know is, that if this scenario was back in the pre Internet & tv coverage day's when I regularly attended matches, I'd be pretty certain at this point that I wouldn't be going to Speedway tonight. old bob at herne bay
There is precedent for Oxford to be entitled to delay tomorrows meeting to allow them the second leg and thus present the KO Cup to the Cheetahs in front of the home supporters.
