Poole V Oxford. KO Cup Final. 16/17 October 2024

Recommended Posts

So the dates are set. First leg at Poole next Wednesday, with the second leg 24 hours later at Oxford.

Will Oxford get their revenge or will Poole get the clean sweep this season? Looking forward to it already.

All we need to know is……….if there are any incidents…….NONE of them will be a Poole rider’s fault…..lol

Let's all hope that those noisy Oxford fans keep quiet and "Dangerous" Vinnie Foord doesn't try too hard or interact with anyone. That way there will be no atmosphere so it will be a good advert for the sport.

What I really don't get is you have Poole Pirates speedway club, well ran, successful and a good model for other teams to aspire to. Yet they have some of the most odious, arrogant, ignorant, snidey, bias supporters on the bsf in the likes of Shovlar, Skidder1, SteveLyric2, Arthur54 to name a few surely with the success the Pirates have had it really would be quite  easy to be alot nicer and sporting. This doesn't include the majority like lisa,Catalan and a fair few others. 🪖

It's not just Poole, it's not just speedway. This is a result of giving the sadder individuals amongst us the freedom to spout via social media. In previous eras they would have been moaning alone or in small groups of sad moaners and been ignored by most of society. Today, social media gives them an equal voice.

All depends on what side Oxford put out.

Luke Killeen was removed from the meeting by medics who adjudged he had suffered a concussion. He admitted when interviewed on BSN the second knock in the head had made his vision clearer and got rid of a headache he was suffering from. So a concussion and a 9 day break which ends his season. A shame as I for one would rather he rode. Rather face the official Oxford 1-7 than a team of guests.

Poole now for the treble.

Very difficult replacing Killeen with a reserve guest of similar calibre.

Choice might be restricted to Starke, Smith, Coles & Hodder.
