Eastbourne Eagles

Recommended Posts

I know it really shouldn't be in this section but come on, give me some slack on this to get some publicity!

Eastbourne Eagles are riding on Sunday at Iwade Sittingbourne against the Thurrock Hammers (Arena/Lakeside)

The meeting starts at 12pm. Gates open at 10am, Raspberry lane, ME9 8SP

Adults £13

Concessions (60+) £10

Children under 16 free with a paying adult.

And what a line up managed by Eagles legend, Dave 'Floppy' Norris.

Scott Nicholls

Edward Kennett

Nathan Ablitt

Paul Starke

Jody Scott

Henning Loof.

Should be good fun with that line up!

Slack given by me, almost championship level, especially with the forecast points limit next year....

Probably know the answer, and imagine the situation is the same, but assume there is still absolutely no chance of a return to Arlington at any level?

Not while the Dugard's own Arlington no and this could be the last representative side put together by Michael and David.

☹️ , so sad when you think of the years and money Bob put into Eastbourne speedway.

Really sad and the track still sits there and the stadium is still in use, but its not Bob now but Eric and Paul unfortunately.

Hammers line up

Alfie Bowtell

Jack Kingston

Ben Morley

Rhys Naylor

Jason Edwards

Jacob Clouting

Two teams close to my heart, Eastbourne being my team and also Lakeside due to my involvement with Adam Shields, now many years ago..

Why is there no chance of speedway whilst the Dugard’s own Arlington exactly?

I thought that the previous situation was to do with the level that was proposing to be run at, and they didn’t want to lease the stadium to a national league team?

No, NDL was never on the cards, they just don't want it back, simple..

Anyway, this is more about supporting two great clubs back in action than highlighting the off track struggles..

Surely with Martin Dugard, Floppy Norris and Ed Kennett still actively involved with helping young riders like Hagon, Foord and Brennan, they would have some persuasion influence?

This looks a great meeting to go to, hope they get a massive crowd, Graham Arnold has done such a lot for speedway over the years on shoestring resources.
