Don't think the Club have confirmed either way ?

Why would they when they are too busy selling season tickets?

So...does this have the makings of a repeat of the "Adam Ellis 2022" situation? OR has Google mis-translated from Polish to English yet again and caused people to read into the situation what isn't there?

Either way...clarification IS needed.

It seems British promoters have little interest in keeping their fans informed when rumours appear, I read about Schlein's retirement on here before Berwick announced it, same with Boughen leaving Oxford, same with Edwards being announced at Redcar in the Speedway Star but not by Redcar. Like you said when Birmingham signed Ellis it wasn't announced as a temp signing.

Looking forward to reading JJ's answer to this, only when I asked the same question on B'hams forum page, he said that it was a ridiculous/stupid question and didn't deserve an answer?

Cue 'JJ' .......

Well, if someone could explain where this rumour started. As far as I can see, it is just something which was invented on this forum as a conspiracy story. I may be wrong, of course, but so can you and all of the others.

As for Adam Ellis a couple of years ago, his was an emergency signing as the Brummies had been unable to find a number 1 as they had been accepted into the Championship very late; Ellis was signed as a temporary rider at the press and practice day. This was explained at the time and everyne knew this. No such announcement has been made about Jeppesen?

I disagree! It wasn't explained at P/P day. Ellis never even turned up for P/P day....

We found out in May that Ellis was leaving.

Not that it matters anymore.

It will be interesting to see what happens with MJJ....again, not that it really matters, unless you've bought a season ticket based on him being a permanent signing?

It was a report from a Polish news source was it not?

You are wrong again, he did: I was there. It was only when we saw Ellis in a Birmingham jacket that we knew who the rider was.

Ellis didnt turn up and his excuse was that he was at Sheffield's P/P....that is my memory of that day (apart from Dan Gilkes looking like a very good prospect....nobody knowing who he was, behind the mask! LOL)

I'm more than happy to be wrong again as you put it!

But Bham fans were not aware that Ellis's signing was short term from the get go!!!

No - I have a photograph of Ellis in the pits at Perry Barr at the time. I wanted to post it here, but it seems that it was too big. And your last sentence is also wrong: I for one certainly knew that Ellis' signing was intended as being temporary.

Not sure Ellis being "too big" is any of our business. Just an image of his face will do 🤪

1. See IanB's explanation

2. Nobody knew before those who were going to buy season tickets had bought them...people who paid for their season tickets had the belief and expectation that Ellis was going to be #1 for the season...until he wasn't.

3. Let's not complicate matters by introducing a third rider into the mix.

Very witty ... I tried to crop the photo, but it seems that it is still too big for this forum.

Very interesting comments on Adam Ellis and MJJ.

Here is what I know.

On Adam Ellis.

Adam was at the Birmingham Press and Practise Day, but only for the press photo's as he was due to attend the Sheffield Press and Practice later that day.

Was in common knowledge that Adam had signed a short term agreement?

Well it would suggest not looking at the Birmingham Fans Forum.

Under the section Rumour Mill and the title of the Adam Ellis.

Fans ask the question is Adam on a short term agreement, as they have read on the BSF that he was.

Of course history shows that Adam was on a short term contract, but nobody put those who were asking the question either fans that claimed to be in know or the Promotion.

And if my memory is correct, Adam when the contract was up cop flack from Birmingham fans who accused him of walking out of the club.

Again if my memory is correct this was only settled when Adam posted on his Facebook page that he had only signed a short term agreement and had honoured that contract the one person who could shed some light on this is Jonny Spud who I believe is Adam Dad, and occasionally posts on here.

On MJJ

Simply this someone has picked up an article from his Polish club that MJJ will only riding on a short term agreement until the Polish season kicks in.

This is why a number of Birmingham fans are wanting to find out what is factually correct about MJJ.

And it is the past history with Adam, that has lead to these questions been asked.
