It's not an awful team, but the fact they'd have to put 2.8 on their averages to even reach the points limit feels like an opportunity lost to really challenge at the top.

Can't blame Birmingham if a rider chooses to go, but just imagine Brennan instead of Vuolas.

Its an ok team but a few ifs and buts down the line ..

Voulas couldn't have had that potential otherwise B.V would have kept him ...

Not at all, Belle Vue may have a list of 10 riders they thought had potential for their 2025 team, can't sign them all. Doesn't mean they don't rate the ones not picked i.e Vuolas.

Agree to much fuss about Teams building to limit for the sake of it, it’s the potential that counts.

Surely you'd want a team built to the limit, with potential to improve?

Mind you, if Birmingham had 7 points left, signing a 7 points rider who you expect to drop a point, is still better than a 4 point rider you think can put a point on their average.

I see this sort of comment on various threads during the 'team building' period and I must admit it confuses me to some degree. I assumed that people who bought season tickets were dedicated fans who follow their team through the good times and the bad. As a football season ticket holder, the 'early bird' period is usually immediately after the previous season ends, which is over a month before the transfer window even opens. Most people buying football season tickets have no idea who many of their players will be for the coming season. If you are a supporter, you are a supporter.

Following and attending are two different things for me?

I've followed bham since 1971, but haven't attended every match.

My point about purchasing a season ticket is ... is it a benefit to the supporter or the club?

Im just not prepared to throw £200 plus to 'bulls!t'?

I don't trust Rogers !

I'll pick and choose which meetings I attend...

Things will also depend on the track... I want entertainment when I go...

i suspect they tried every realistic option

what is encouraging is that they are trying something different ie not worral sedge or kerr

I think the Birmingham promotion should be commended for their efforts to build a competitive team which I think they have. Obviously the team is probably quite expensive to put together and deserve to be supported and not written off before a wheel has turned.

agree with @AceBelle bv went with tate instead, realistically they were never signing both

doesnt mean voulas hasnt potential but tate has more imo

Antti was signed as an injury replacement for Tate who’s reclaimed his spot now fit. Be great to have both at reserve but the rules don’t allow it. Antti is a fine rider and superb team man to have in the pits who will do a great job for Birmingham. I think he will have the same level of improvement as last seasons ex Ace, Tom and similarly the management and fans will not want to see him moved on unnecessarily.

Looking forward to seeing both Antti and Matej when the Brummies come to town.
