Diamonds85 Posted yesterday at 01:37 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 01:37 PM I think a lot of people are underestimating Jonas Jeppesen. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's going to be knocking doors out of windows, but if he's on a 4.50 average he'll make a mockery of it. I see him low to mid 6 by the end of the season? Depending on injuries etc. I thought he was originally on a 6.00 average that he would maintain it.

I see this sort of comment on various threads during the 'team building' period and I must admit it confuses me to some degree. I assumed that people who bought season tickets were dedicated fans who follow their team through the good times and the bad. As a football season ticket holder, the 'early bird' period is usually immediately after the previous season ends, which is over a month before the transfer window even opens. Most people buying football season tickets have no idea who many of their players will be for the coming season. If you are a supporter, you are a supporter.

I would suggest it does. You're probably more of a follower of Speedway or an occasional attendee than a "fan" Edited yesterday at 05:14 PM by IainB

If Jeppesen goes from a 4.5 to a 6, but the team would still been legal if he started on a 6, then no advantage has been gained. For Birmingham's point of view, I hope you're right & he does average 6. Edited yesterday at 05:58 PM by szkocjasid

If the regulations remain the same as ‘24 then I see it being as this: 1. Musielak - 8.21 2. Jeppessen - 4.5 3. Zagar - 7.2 4. Rew - 5.67 5. Jepsen Jensen - 7.5 6. Voulas - 4.13 7. Edwards - RS Total - 37.21 It's not an awful team, but the fact they'd have to put 2.8 on their averages to even reach the points limit feels like an opportunity lost to really challenge at the top. Can't blame Birmingham if a rider chooses to go, but just imagine Brennan instead of Vuolas.

I guess you do but I've always been of the mind that if you are going up to the limit for the sake of it and shoe horning in an unsuitable rider or submitting to somebody asking ridiculous money then it can be a fools errand. Voulas and Jeppesen potentially have serious improvement in them, to leave one of them out for someone who has a higher average but not much else going for them in comparison would be silly IMO. Getting the right blend of riders is more important. Edited 9 hours ago by Bagpuss

They were closer last year to the limit simply through made up averages for their top two... The reality was somewhat different.. This team looks stronger, and has more potential to improve... Sixth for me, depending on whether Oxford can pull a rabbit out of the hat.. There is probably one team too many in the top league for all to be competitive given the lack of interest from those one and two tier riders who are not interested in riding over here.. And the second division fans bemoan their lack of meetings.. A shame a compromise couldn't be achieved for Birmingham to ride on Monday in the second division, especially as it wouldn't be too difficult to work around so few fixture clashes... Or maybe Oxford just ran in the second division for a season to see how Birmingham unfolds track wise? Six teams would have delivered a very competitive league with decent riders on standby for injuries...  Edited 8 hours ago by mikebv

Agree to much fuss about Teams building to limit for the sake of it,it’s the potential that counts.

Wouldn't say that ? just that Aces were always going to sign Zischke after is accident he was showing good potential bit of loyalty from lemmo for what he promised him really Voulas did a great job for us and I'm sure he will have good season for Birmingham
