I will tell you a story about Zagar when he was the Eastbourne number 1.

Got a call from Adam Shields on a Thursday  to say we had a guest booking at Eastbourne in place of Zagar on the Saturday.

We turned up and was setting up when Mark Seabright, MZ's mechanic at the time and now Jason Doyles turned up with all Zagar's kit ready to race.

Zagar didn't even give Mark the courtesy of telling him he wasn't riding on the Saturday even though we knew on the Thursday, Mark never worked for him again and I have had little respect for him after that..

I lost respect for him after seeing him smack his mechanic round the head after a televised race. If that had been me, I would have smacked him back.

That could be true, but all that matters is if they can you their starting aves, which I don't know.

I honestly cant see it, Musielak and Rew yes but I expect others to drop.

Like we saw with Janowski it can take a rider a long time to settle back in over here with our tracks being completely different.

Nilsson hasn't rode over here for 6/7 Years, Thorssell for at least 5 years, Zagar's in his 40's now and has no improvement left in him.

According to my memory and subsequent research, Zagar only did two meetings at Leicester. Scored 9+1 from five rides and then 1 from four rides (failed to finish in 3 races). Pretty sure that he made his dislike for the track well known and was absent from the Aces line up on their later visits. To say you are easily pleased would appear to be a massive understatement!

Not quite. I was there last time he rode & he obviously wasn’t interested. I was being heavily sarcastic!

I hope Birmingham have a lot of money as Mr Zagar will take most of it. I don't think he rode anywhere last season & I can't see him producing the form he showed at Belle Vue again.

If he stays past May i'll be suprised

Better riders out there ..On the way down ...ok when infront but when at the back stays there ..

He was the only No1 that was never really liked by the Eastbourne fans( me included). When you think Bjarne Pedersen won us over with his likeability and professionalism fairly quickly, having been the arch enemy captain for all those years at rivals Poole. We weren't hard to win over, but Zagar always seemed to have an 'I'm better than here' attitude to the fans.

I'll never forgive Zagar what he did to Buzz Burrows at Monmore in 2003

An increase of £1 which will more than likely be standard across the board at a minimum, but the season ticket prices frozen so that makes them even better value than this year. It’s 12 league meetings plus, the first knockout cup fixture. That’s a saving of £52 if you plan on attending every meeting. Two free meetings, and £4 off a 3rd meeting. Fair play that’s more than decent.

I also like the extras they’ve added also, one VIP experience and two complimentary tickets to be passed on to “non speedway fans”. Not sure how they’ll police that, but it all adds up to a very good deal 👏🏻
