Just read the Star, the new manager Adams admitting they’ve lost out on a couple of riders they were confident of having in the side due to the uncertainty. You’d have to think one is definitely Brennan.

Having thought about it, you’d like to think they could have been protected a little here. They were uncompetitive this year and now they’re already on the back foot for next year as well and lost a couple of riders. Having a team marooned at the bottom doesn’t help anybody. On the flip side though, you can’t really blame the riders for looking after their own interests and getting a guaranteed income sorted whilst there was uncertainty at the club. Difficult one.

Why get the begging bowl out at the time of year that you are trying to sign riders for a competitive season. Riders want certainty that the clubs is going to run and they will get paid. Who ever thought it was a good idea to go public with their financial position must now be regretting it as obviously its costing them riders. Once again Birmingham will be left with the riders no one else wants. I am sure Chris Adams is working hard to secure riders but its almost like the club are working against him in this matter.

Question whats more important a winning team or a team worth watching?

Unfortunately more often than not you get both or neither, especially in the Premiership, hence Birmingham's continual problems season after season.

Riders won’t be queuing up given there Statement a month ago.Cash flow probably meant some riders were due money.Although this seems to have been resolved I’m sure it doesn’t entice riders to the Club.

Only Belle Vue can say they get both consistently. It's the only Premiership track that is conductive to genuine, full tilt racing. Every other track is predominantly follow the leader until a rider makes an error, or the heatleader misses the start.

One of Birmingham's big error in team building last year was simple, they signed no trappers.

Indeed, the other option is effectively rider control but nobody bar the bottom 2 clubs possibly would ever vote for that.

When the likes of Birmingham do finally pack it and the top clubs have nobody to race but themselves they can't say they weren't warned

I take your point, but I was(is) a long time Arlington supporter and when we were in the 'Elite' league was nearly always good racing ( not agreed by everyone) but was always at it's best when we were winning at home, which happened more often than not. Different era, maybe just shows how it's rubbish now compared to the 2000's apart from BV.

We tried our bit by putting the hard yards in with Tom for you to get some benefit this year. With regards some other clubs I can see exactly what you mean. 😡

With some riders being snapped up by other clubs. I'm assuming Brennan is one of them. Who do Birmingham sign? All the rumours point towards the Brummies signing riders like, King, Z Cook, Lampart, Worrall etc. God knows what team there putting together
