Extraleague 2025- signings, fixtures and rumours

Recommended Posts

So the PZM are talking about 1 GP rider per team, is this them spouting off in what seems to be a building up of resentment against the SGP or are they serious ? It can’t work can it ? There is only 8 teams and 15 GP riders, Lublin would have to replace 3 riders and replace them with who ? Where would those 3 riders go ?

Am I right in saying there are a few political issues at Gorzow?

Basically about to become another Tarnow by the sound of things.

Rybnik will be hoping that Gorzow have a shocker today.

Rybnik need top riders and they'll only get them if Gorzow don't run as nobody else is available.

Gorzow have started a fundraiser to save the club with a target of 4.5m PLN.

What have they spaffed all their Zmarzlik money on?

They should contact Birmingham to ask how their £755 saved the club!

Nothing to do with that. It’s the president who everyone hates, the internal audit found losses of 10 million zloty due to poor and underhand going ons, people in Gorzów hated the trainer too and his daughter who got a high paid position for doing nothing. President cancelled Woźniak contract one year early. They have basically got new people in to clean up but need 4.5m by 31st October or won’t get a Ekstraliga License and will be demoted to national league and with that basically go into liquidation. Sorry site for the most decorated polish club in its history of speedway!

Fundraising is currently sitting at about 135,000zł in 4 hours.

Already noises that their fierce rivals falubaz are trying to snap up Anders. I can’t see him going to the dark side! He is Gorzów through and through.

Important change to the Extraleague regulations for 2025 regarding the play-offs.

Top 4 will take part in the  Title play-off.

Teams 5-8 will take part in the relegation play-offs.

In the relegation play-offs between the teams that finish 5th to 8th in the regular season, the 2 semi winners will be safe and the losers  will meet each other with the loser relegated. The winner will then meet the loser of the Extraleague 2 play-off final to decide who is in Extraleague and Extraleague 2 the following season.
This could mean that the team who finishes 5th in the Extraleague regular season could be relegated !! - seems a bit harsh !!!
