fricke kurtz Lidsey have all re-arranged their plans to get to czech republic for GP challenge it's a joke if the meeting doesn't go ahead !!

Fully agree if the weather forecast is correct then no excuses for this not to go ahead Thursday.  Let's have confidence in Leicester to get it on.

With no doubt the Aussies in both teams will be eager to return home ready for their summer season. So if cancelled Thursday it could end up a farcial situation. With both clubs operating with 6 man teams or guest riders

They should be used to the British weather by now, can never guarantee when the season will finish.

Besides some still have Championship fixtures to complete anyway.

Just move it to King's Lynn and get the season done because the weather isn't going to improve at this time of the year.

Chances of Leicester pulling back the defecit are slim anyway because not only are they 18 points down but they also won't have any Home track advantage after the amount of rain the track has taken over the last week.

Belle Vue would have to do one of the biggest chokes in Speedway history to throw this one anyway imo.

Belle Vue could well “choke” as they have done in the past. The biggest choke was the 1980 KO cup v Cradley. We put in a terrific performance in the home leg against a tough Cradley team and had our hands as good as on the trophy. We lost out in the second leg. We were reliant on our top two scoring the bulk of the points but they got quickly wiped out by the opposition and it was then plain sailing for them.

Brady and Dan contribute almost half the team’s total using the current declaration so losing those would see us struggle badly.

Must admit I’m not into having injured teams described as chokers (not that you are doing here). It seems extremely disrespectful and uncaring towards injured lads at a time when they need all the support they can get. Modern times I expect.

Great news that Ben is back on track. That’s was my only concern about NKI, that he wouldn’t get the paid 11 Ben achieved last time.
Also an uninjured Aces side have never been defeated in a play off final.

That was hardly a choke.  More a case of dodgy goings-on.

Weather was terrible and the second leg was called off by Cradley around lunchtime, and all riders were informed.  Then Cradley decided they would run in the rain after all, and reversed the call-off decision later in the afternoon.  In those pre-mobile phone days Belle Vue couldn't get hold of all the team to tell them it was back on, and ended up having to borrow a couple of local juniors to make up a team.  Then of course Peter Collins and Chris Morton were knocked off and put out of  the meeting injured  (Collins with the broken shoulder which would effectively end his career).  That left Belle Vue with just Louis Carr and Pekka Hautamaki from the original team, and of course they were well beaten.

Oh really didn't know that, I seem to remember beating your team in a play off final without guests but you have won a couple with guests or a very late replacement like Robert Lambert.

Only a few days ago you said he'd finished for the season!!

So did most people 🤔 not only me surprised that he is back riding ? doctors have declared him fit we will have to see how he feels within himself when he rides I'm glad he is back it will be great  to see him ride at Leicester? but we may have already declared our team beforehand ? then NKI it is ?
