GeneralMelchett
Gotta have Lawson and Hagon in the side for sure. Apart from the last three heats at BV last night they have been pretty solid these last few weeks, last season they crashed after the Nick Morris incident and dropped out of the playoffs - this season they did an Ipswich in that they came into form later made the playoffs and the final! The team is well balanced the weak(er) spots seem to be they need a stronger reserve, and maybe a better no 1 for away tracks - Fricke doesn't quite quality on that front for me based on this season. I'd possibly take a punt still at a 7, but I'm always wary of the commitment of Polish riders, I think Dicko is very much the same as well. Think it's 4.

Personally I'd be looking at Luke Kileen, I like what I've seen of him Edited September 24 by IainB

He's not super fast Jason but I think around Leicester he could get dialled in. Kileen is also a good shout

Fair play if Tolley and co. manage to put together a good side for a change though.

Personally I'd be looking at Luke Killeen, I like what I've seen of him I'd be astonished if Oxford don't have Boughen & Killeen as their reserve pairing. It wouldn't make sense for them to weaken a play-offs challenging team, unless they were building for next season!

Jake Allen could return thought he did OK last time out at reserve. Need support for Fricke really away from the den Allen's converted average would be 4.89. Don't see him reaching that tbh. speedwayfan8
1. Fricke 2. Lawson 3. Becker 4. ? 5. Masters 6. Cook/Kerr 7. Hagon Can really see Kerr joining us for some reason.
szkocjasid
Now he's had a better Championship season & Hagon has struggled (recently) should Leicester take Joe T back as their "rising star"?

It was still a rediculous thing to do & I don't understand Schroeck's logic at all. But it would be even worse if Oxford don't start with Boughen & Killeen. As I can't believe a manager could be THAT bad, that HAS to be the plan. So just can't see Killeen riding for Leicester next season. Before the BV match I'd have said yes, but now I'm not so sure. One swallow not making a summer but he certainly looked more competent than he had for a long while and it reminded me why he was an initial improvement on Thompson. He may want to mix it up a bit at another track. If Boughen is a RS they ain't going to have Killeen as well surely.

All these thoughts are sensible & I would agree, except as Oxford used both Boughen & Killeen this year, why wouldn't they next year? I wouldn't be surprised if Killeen didn't ride NDL next year if he's in the top 2 leagues.

flagrag
As discussed on the official Speedway podcast a lot will depend on where William Cairns decides to sign for in Premiership. If he pledges his allegiance to Leicester then the RS at the start of season will know it’s only a contract up until end of June . The last I heard on the Cairns situation was that his family want him to ride for Leicester obviously but have said he can choose his Championship club but William will make the ultimate decision . Logistics have to be remembered too if he signs for a Monday night Premiership club means early rush to get Poland for U24 league
