are they any suspicious theories as to why this is called off or is it just the rain like B/ vue ? after all it always rains in manchester like some fans say ???🙃

But the super duper NSS can stand all weathers can't it? We know Leicester is like The Poseidon Adventure after a bit of drizzle.

it is and will always be one of the finest tracks in speedway tell me one area who wouldn't have a track/stadium like ours  built for them ?? and riders vision when it's  raining & entertainment value is part of a cancellation 🤔

If only BV were of similar mind in the play off final, eh? 😉 Nice to know we won't get a repeat though.

So at 3:30pm on Monday they postpone the meeting that starts at  7:30pm saying the track is waterlogged & the forecast is bad. By 4:30pm it’s cleared up.

10am the next morning with hardly any strong sun on the track, Oxford post video’s of their NDL team practising at Leicester . The track is barely wet & is creating dust .

The track was fine they  just didn’t want a poor crowd after they won away & it had been raining .

Reading the words "Track Waterlogged" did seem a bit fishy, especially after around 3 weeks in Leicester without any appreciable rain... but it did rain again at 19:30 so probably the right call in the end

Needs an SCB inquiry

Where I was in Leicester it rained continually from about 9.30am to 3pm, so I'm not surprised it was called off.

Finest track in speedway is a long shot, Britain maybe, but I don't think even any Ekstraliga 2 teams would swap theirs for yours! The stadium is pretty small to be a national stadium... any decent event you need to rent another stand. I'm sure Foxhall holds more!

He didn’t say Foxhall was a better track, just that it can hold more fans…which is correct

sidenote, (and I’m not saying it’s should or has to be Ipswich where I’m a fan) but I think it would be superb to see a Grand Prix on a small tight technical track like we have in the UK, I love my speedway and the Grand Prix series but much of it is all on the same style big open space tracks.

I was never a fan of lakeside particularly but some of the best racing I’ve seen was the likes of Ward and Woffinden round there!

Couldn’t agree more with this. There is definitely a lack of variety on the Grand Prix scene. There should be a mix of tracks of all shapes and sizes to test the skill set of the riders. Similar to you and Lakeside, some of the best racing I’ve seen has been around Mildenhall believe it or not. Loram had some fantastic races around there.

Mind you if they did hold a major event at Foxhall, they could turn it into a weekend festival. Plenty of room for camping & the showground is just up the road.

There’s precedent to show that’s more than viable with the massive stock car weekend event they’ve held over the years too
