That's only a suspicion though... there are football pitches situated over the back of the Speedway arena with floodlights on top of very large posts. Cross Roads
Last time in this debate as clearly if have an opinion get scoldedโฆ planning issue or not itโs an expensive solution but can be addressed if you have the lamp posts with a 90d return at the top with a further pole nd bracket they can be more directed to the angles required ie the track, also like Sheffield have fix permanent lights on the start line advertising structure above the gates power is there to the main refs building x2 per gate front and back would made a massive difference alsoโฆ. Have a good weekend all.. Edited January 11 by Cross Roads

Have a good weekend all.. I don't think it helps that they are situated quite low and far away from the track meaning that the air fence creates quite a shadow and when the riders go wide, as they tend to do on turns 3 and 4, they dissappear into this shadow making it quite difficult to pick them out, especially when wearing darker race suits caked in with dirt. I've mentioned it before but the sport should look at moving into the 21st century and fit led lights to the bikes. If Wiggy was still around he would have been all over led lights.ย ย Edited January 11 by IainB

PowerfulPierre
Standing on the back straight, I have to agree that the lighting is far from ideal but I think that 1 thing that could be done to establish who some of the riders are is to reinstate the black & yellow helmet colour instead of the plain yellow, which under poor lighting, can often be mistaken for white, particularly if the rider has a very light yellow helmet colour.ย Problem is, I suppose that this would have to be adopted by every team in the country.

Unfortunately Leicesterโs two ticket outlets at the stadium are woefully inadequate to deal with a large attendance where everybody has to queue for tickets due to lack of ย advance ticket sales. Unless ticketing arrangements are changed to include advance sales then I know of at least six folk who will not be going.ย come on Lions, get real with this issue,
