No thanks, unless we have to shoe horn one of them in to accommodate a big hitter at 5. Would Dickson want Richie back after letting him down a couple of seasons ago?

I'd refuse to go if that utter arse Worrall ended up anywhere near a Lions jacket.

Stewart normally always goes down that route so we shall see, The rumours though are giving Lions fans some hope of getting Fricke some rock solid support at No.5.

I agree.

Vaculik did ride over here at one stage as well, Got injured at Swindon if I remember quickly and then he never returned.

Did barely a lap on his Leicester debut at Swindon, broke his ankle If I Recall Correctly , and never rode for the Lions again.

The connection with Vaculik with Leicester was via Simon Stead. So if Vaculik ever did return to UK speedway it would be more than probable as a Tiger rather than a Lion.

You’ll never see Vaculik over here again. Let’s just say his two ventures over here, wasn’t a good experience..

He won the Simon Stead farewell at Sheffield!

Kyle Howarth will be nailed on at Leicester, got him in a steal of an average

Happy to have Kyle back, never gives less than 100% ever and as you say, a steal on his average (5.05 with Brit reduction).

I wouldn't describe that as a "steal of an average" as he's got that average for a reason.

Now if he's a reserve, then I'd fully expect him to up his average, but I'm the top 5 - that's how I'd rate him (a 5 to 5.5 man).

The strongest 1-7 I could come up with using realistic riders only and turning a blind eye to the Douglas to Brum rumours would be this.

1. Fricke, 2. Howarth, 3. Masters, 4. Becker, 5. Douglas, 6. C. Cook & 7. Hagon (RS) = 39.93

If Leicester want a big hitter then they'll have to be sitting ducks at reserve because Hagon needs a strong No.6 to partner him at reserve considering how much he struggled as RS.

The more rumours and speculation happen I still think we will end up with this side :(

You never know, Stewart might go against his usual thought process when building a 1-7 (UK based riders)

I think I've got 5 right as I don't see Masters leaving, Stewart will certainly want him back considering Sam is his rider of the season, I don't think anyone would opt to sign for Birmingham over a club that's financially stable as it's a case of playing with fire to a point where Birmingham could run out of money at any stage during the season.

No.6 should be Sedgmen or Kerr though, I keep throwing Kerr into the mix because he's clearly a rider that Stewart likes considering he's signed Lewis for Berwick and Leicester over the last 2 seasons whilst putting faith in Lewis to guest for the Lions this year in the crunch play-off meetings.

Sadly I think you’re right. Would like to see a real strong top 2,  don’t feel its Dickson’s style though

It's still a good side but doesn't offer any real excitement like the teams belle vue, Ipswich etc put together

Agreed. Solid but probably found wanting in those crucial heats 13 & 15
