If as everyone says, the NSS was built to the same sort of spec as Torun in Poland then I would say its not as technical as various other tracks in the UK.

This is based on riders like Emil saying he has improved as a rider racing in Britain. Also Tai saying about having to turn the bike again.

Mark Lemon also suggesting he will be building a team full of riders (think he said less than 55kgs) who don't weigh a lot. This would suggest other tracks are more technical.

depends on your definition of 'technical'

if its how difficult it is for riders (esp away ones) to get the set up right and ride the correct lines then id say bv is technical in that respect

its generally not a particularly easy track for away riders to score points on because there are so many lines

looking beyond the track,  cannot see for health and safety reasons how the promotion got away how the pit area was assembled. Where the home and away areas are facing one another with a narrow walkway between the two. Surely they are blowing exhaust fumes at one another

I think the pits were designed like they are to reduce the noise emissions from bikes revving up. It was something to do with the planning permission.

Traditionally I've taken tracks that have been described as "technical" to mean, Eastbourne, Arena, Wolves, Rye House etc. Where you really have to back the bike in almost to a stand still. To a lesser extent the likes of Leicester, Coventry, Ippo, Swindon, Glasgow, Poole etc. Then there's where you pin the throttle tracks like the NSS, Sheffield, Peterborough, Somerset and the worst track of the lot Scunny! That's not to say that these tracks aren't without their nuances.

When I see them on tv I thought what a stupid idea having them facing one another putting fumes in one another’s face.

Something to do with planning permission we're led to believe

The Leicester track is different. Not really a racing track more of a gaters paradise. Having said that alot of top riders that visit leicester seem to like it. The riders that do go well at Leicester always say the trick is to attack it and not be scared carrying more speed into the corners. Pretty much every top rider in the prem rides it well. It's just the less experienced riders that struggle. Can the track be re shaped? I think it can but it isn't happening anytime soon.

I just think the calibre of riders are so poor now. Not sure if its the bikes , engines or what but hardly any of them can ride the tracks and actually have enough track craft and speed to pass anyone?

Cant blame the tracks, we've had some right dumps in years gone by and you at least saw the odd pass.

There is certainly a lack of track craft with a lot of the modern days riders.IMO.
