Are they too far over the hill now to be a demon no.6 on bargain averages. Or do Leicester sign them both?? Ps - I didn't intend this be a reply to you!! But I'll leave it - mind of their own etc etc!! Both are too injury prone or should I say absent prone... they're both over the hill for PL level and CL is where they should be, but like you say okay for short term replacements

Either a new foreign rider or going for strength n depth. Douglas could even return but I highly doubt it Belle Vue, Ipswich and Sheffield will all have riders at No.5 who are better than Masters and Douglas. They both might have to be sacrificed if a they can bring in a suitable 8+ rider to support Fricke, resulting in obvious weakening elsewhere.

FishersGate
Ipswich would mad not to sign Dan T again on reduced average. I'm sure Leicester want him back but he doesn't even live local anymore.

Team manager said at the time of signing young Sam that nothing was expected of him in 2024. so onwards to 2025 when as you say he needs to be beating his opposite number especially at home. Lets hope he comes back from Aussie up and running. To state the obvious, Lions need a strong no. 6 to make them competitive in heat 2 and a big hitter 5 especially for heats 13 & 15. Interesting close season ahead...hopefully!

1 valve
Think this fits to 40 points with GB reductions. 1. Fricke 2. Sedgmen 3. Lawson 4. Becker 5. Bewley or another brit circa 8.7 6. Mountain 7. Hagon.
TTT
Would Leicester chuck Vinnie Foord at No.6 or is it too soon? Because if you want a big hitter to backup Fricke at No.5 then sacrifices need to be made elsewhere.

Stewart will go for a strong middle order again. We want a good number 6 and 5 and that does mean weakening the middle order, which I'm fine with. Fricke and a rider like Bewley would be fantastic but I reckon Masters will end up at 5. Stick Sedgmen at reserve and pack out 2,3 and 4 get a 8pt number 5 and it's a better side than last season and has alot more balance to it.

Hagon's contribution has been woful in all three finals. To be fair to the lad he did win the u21 championship, but his form has dipped terrible in the latter part of the season.

For some reason, as soon as he moved to No 2 in the Poole team and signed for Leicester, his form dropped dramatically

On his 2023 final average - wasn't that too high? But if it's somehow been reduced during 2024, he's worth a look especially if as the new starting 6 Edited October 18 by Hamish McRaker

But would Leon Madsen be looking for extra work, or as some have been suggesting, Museilak?

If he could ride at 6 it would be great, but that would have a knock on affect on the middle order if the plans are to bring in an 8+ rider. If the new points limit is 39, the Lions would have to lose just over 3 points (excluding British reductions for team building) from this years team.
