Leicester Lions 2025

Agreed. The team that won the league and others that should have won the league (according to people in Suffolk) have a stronger No.1 and a No.5 at least as good as Fricke. Problem is, if a better rider can be persuaded to join the Lions, fitting them in with team average limits. A five point reserve is essential if we are going to have to carry a RS at No.7. The current middle order would then therefore need to take a dent. Take your pick with the current No.2 to No.5, their averages are pretty similar. I would personally want to keep Lawson and trade any of the others to accommodate another another big hitter along with someone like Sedgmen or Kerr.

Well according to every non biased fan actually so no need for the sarky comment. The Ipswich team even without Doyle, was miles clear at the top of the table until Emil crashed out and would no doubt have been favourites. No guarantees obviously and no Ipswich fan has stated they DEFINITELY would have won it, but it was quite clearly the best team in the league it’s as simple as that.

100%...

The Aces were just 8 points up with three races to go at the NSS..

A 10 - 2 in heats 13 and 15 made a huge difference to how the 2ng leg got set up..

That's also why 'strength in depth'...

"Peterborough won with Dad's Army"...

In a league choc full of Div 2 Heat Leaders at the time, no longer would happen again.....

Also Aces had no Kurtz in the final he was out with the head issue and we had to use R/R for both legs.  Im certain with Kurtz we would of won the league that year as well.

For the first couple of seasons at the NSS, Brady had an unfortunate knack of not scoring in Ht 1 when on gate four...

Now he has developed onto such a level that you are surprised when he doesn't pick up a win in heat one, regardless of home or away, off gate four.

Surely the UK rider of the year given the Ipswich lads got injured..

Great to watch him "howling" around the boards, and a bit of a throwback to the days gone by when it comes to leading from the front, and not taking any prisoners when racing...

Back next year as Captain without a doubt...

As in Ipswich fan I agree that Brady Kurtz was the rider of the season.

Don't forget he went "missing" during the mid part of the year 😁🔭

Just for a bit of balance, Panthers were without their No1 Ulrich Ostergaard and used R/R to cover for him, also lost Hans Andersen for both legs after his crash in his first ride of the 1st Leg at Belle Vue. Also Michael Palm Toft rode with a broken left hand for both legs after crashing against Wolves in the semi finals.

Looking back, it was certainly a remarkable effort from the Panthers in the circumstances...
